System 1 year 9 months ago Posts: 74809	I think Cartoon Network's peak was definetly 1999. They had all their new cartoons as well all the classics. After that it started go to downhill once they started to get rid of the classics and move them to Boomerang as well as Adult Swim taking over the schedule.

Cartoon Network actually hit its peak in the last 90's, imo. They had just launched Toonami, they had Cartoon Theatre, and they started Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. I also remember when they use to air that 90's Wave commercial nearly every commercial break back in the day! They would even have 3 minutes of commercials before starting the next program

Don't get me wrong, I liked the days when did nothing but show classics all day, but it was exciting to finally to see some orignal content from the channel. Plus they cartoons they showed in the late 90's/early 2000's were great and way better than what Nickeloden was airing at the time.
