      		 I didn't know AR had gone away. The 3DS (Gameboy) does some stuff with it for a couple years now, I think. Are you comparing cell phone/tablet applications to stuff like Google Glass?

          Yes, I think AR as a mobile app will catch on.
          When Google Glass becomes Google Contacts, then ya really got somethin', LOL!

            		 Ha, hell yeah. I have always wanted a little digital time display in the corner of my field of vision. The other things I want would be night vision and telescopic. I don't think Google Glass can do those, but night vision on a cell phone would be easy as long as it had IR LEDs on the back. I can get that feature on a video camera from 15 years ago.

                      		 The next new fad is: old fashioned markets, because Tesco just announced that it is leaving the USA after losing money on its "Fresh & Easy" stores in California, Nevada and Arizona since 2007.

                        		 Fresh & Easy was an experiment in providing fresh produce to low income areas in the USA via a "Seven-11" style convenience store format with lots of locations close to where people live, instead of giant supermarkets miles away with access only by car.

                          		 That's too bad. I love the concept. I think (hope) it was just poorly executed and something else can work towards that.

                          In my neighborhood, which is deemed a "food desert" we are going to have a farmers' market this summer. Exactly what you're talking about: where people live, small, fresh, local. While I would prefer a permanent place this is a good first step to prove there is a demand for good food. And it's better than a megastore with a giant parking lot, as far as I'm concerned.

                            		 It sure seems to me S n S that neighborhoods across the USA are in need of a re-think when it comes to food distribution. I like farmer's markets when they combo with retail brands on the side, like the mexi-american independent store where I used to live.

                            That's why I was looking forward to Tesco going national in the USA, but now that's not going to happen.

                            The next new fad looks like the same-old grocery store again.

                              Got to hear that song a couple days ago, didn't like it that much. It's a rehash of Gangnam style with less punch. I did like the irony between the song title and the music video, just wish it was executed better.

                                		 Oh, right, I forgot about that. I just checked it out. I agree NARH, not as good as Gangnam Style. The video is kind of funny, I guess...and yeah, 'sequel' as he's still doing the horsey dance. I think his producer or whoever just told him he has to 'cause that's what got the international attention.

                                  I'm gonna miss those stores. The problem they had was that there wasn't much of a selection. There would be like only 2 brands of something. They only sold produce in bulk, so it was hard to buy if you only wanted one apple or something. I remember during the 2012 London games they sold imported Olympics stuff from the UK.

                                  This format was also used for the Famima stores that were brought to Southern California. The Famima stores were more of a true convenience store. They sold mostly Japanese goods, but now the ones that are still running mostly sell American foodstuffs.
