I mean I dont completley hate XBox360 or Ps3 and I know the majority who respond will call me crazy. I like a few games for Ps3 and xbox but I really dont think there that creative these days. I recently almost bought an Xbox 360 for about $400 new but then I decided if I was going to shed up almost half a grand for that I would almost rather pay the full grand for a brand new N64 still in original packaging and brand new.

All the guys I know and everybody around is always like oh ''call of duty call of duty lets go play some ps3'' and I would just rather go home and play some N64 or SNES or Turtles in Time,Golden Eye,Banjo Kazooie,Smash Bros,WWF No Mercy.... and so on and so forth.

    Am I the only one?

    Thanks :)

I like my PS3 but i also still have my N64 and a Retro duo to play my NES/SNES games so i'm into both old games and new games, just depends on my mood.

I don't like those systems either. They have some good games but not enough to be worth it for me to buy the console. I will wait. I got a PS2 for $20 last year, now I can pick up the games I wanted to see on that system. Sometime maybe I will do the same with PS360.

But I will call you crazy to spend $1k on N64.

yeah when i needed a new controller for my N64 I noticed that the controllers were pretty expensive so I bought a used system with a controller for $30 so $1000 for an N64 seems ridiculous

If you're going to take off the shrinkwrap and play it anyway, don't get brand new. You Can Get N64 Nintendo 64 Console System Complete in Original Box For $70 At eBay.com Today!

Oh no I said "IF I was to shed up half a grand on a system" lol I doubt I will be able to afford a brand new 64 or NES (which is even more expensive) still in original packaging any time soon. and yea I dunno though, I just find it would be pretty cool to have an original NES like that it would be like going to Christmas back in time or something. I'm just a big nerd haha, I collect old crap like that... and if I did buy a brand new one I wouldn't be opening it I would buy and extra old one for $40 or something on the side.

I use my PS3 more for Netflix than anything else. I have to say though most of the fps games out there are hard for me to follow and aren't very original.

Totally agree, all the games are the same. They don't try to be fun or imaginitive at all anymore, remember banjo kazooie? USE YOUR IMAGINATION PEOPLE!

To be honest I am a total 90s video game buff. Sure the NES was cool and I played it throughout the 90s, but video games and systems got really good in the early 90s and beyond. For a long time I would only own systems from the 90s and I had a bunch of different systems and games. The Dreamcast was my newest system for a long time until I got the original XBox in 2007 or so. For many years I didn't have any new systems but late last year I got a PS3 and a XBox 360 recently and I think there are plenty of awesome games on both systems if you do your research. On the surface you may think that this generation is all about Call of Duty, Halo and other first-person shooters but if you do your research you will see that there is something for everyone, even old-school gaming buffs such as myself. I have a ton of PS3 and XBox 360 games both physical copies and some digital downloads to keep me busy. There are also a ton of SEGA and other digital downloadable games like Sonic Adventure 2, Jet Set Radio, etc. that can be downloaded. Seriously, research PS3 and XBox 360 games and you will see there is still plenty of games out there that can satisfy any 90s video game buff.

On my Xbox 360 I've downloaded a few classic arcade games; TMNT, Simpsons, Street Fighter, Altered Beast, and Pac Man. As time passes they keep release old titles, I know they now have Streets of Rage, Ghosts and Goblins, and some other good classics. On my kids 3DS's I've downloaded Kid Icarus, Super Mario Bros, Mega Man, Kirby, and Excite Bike. I can't wait for them to release Double Dragon 1, 2 and 3.

So you think the N64 is better than the PS3 and XBox? Don't get me wrong, I had a blast with NES and SNES but the N64 was a huge disappointment and I was all about the PS1 back in those days. In my opinion, the PS3 and XBox 360 have more good games for each system than N64. There are a bunch of creative games or fun games for PS3 and XBox 360 and I can list a bunch of them. There is also more variety of good games for this generation of systems compared to N64 which was severely lacking in most departments. Other than Nintendo and Rare games, the N64 didn't have much to offer. PS3 and XBox 360 have their exclusive games as well as third party games from a bunch of different developers. Also, why'd you specifically choose the N64? I think there were many systems better than the N64.

I picked up a Xbox 360 at a thrift store about a year ago. It had the RROD but I used the towel trick and got it working. I played through all the Gears of Wars games and about 3/4 of Batman Arkham Asylum. The Xbox died before I could finish. And I'm glad.

The point is I could easily get back into gaming if I wanted too. It would be kind of like starting smoking. It's horrible the first few times then you don't know how you existed before. I'm at this point in my life where getting an expensive and time consuming hobby would not be prudent, at all.
