Nintendo.....how much further can you go on corrupting this franchise? It was creative at first, but now it's just getting plain ridiculous.

I think a time will come when every generation of kids born from 1990 to 3050 will differentiate themselves based on what version of Pokemon they played.

I'm just saying. The original Pokémon were based off of animals. And this continued until they started making Diamond and Pearl. After that point some of them, well still based off animals, were also based off of food and objects too; it was just plain weird. I can only imagine what hell Pokémon X and Y has in store for us...

Not trying to be mean here buddy, but you couldn't be more wrong here and should do a little bit of research before posting something as fact. The original Gen one Pokemon DID have pokemon based off objects, Geodude is of course a rock and Magnemite was the "Magnet Pokemon, those are objects, NOT animals. And if you really want to debate, Pokemon like Oddish and Bellspout were based on plants, again NOT ANIMALS. And let's not forget Porygon who is a virtual computerize Pokemon created by man, therefore again, NOT BASED OFF AN ANIMAL.

But back to the original topic, I for one am looking forward to Pokemon X and Y, they showed the staters and I am already in love with that water starter frog, I believe he is called Froakie. But I think the fire and grass starters are cool too, but that frog sealed the deal for me to buy this game.

Ah crap, even I knew that. But those Pokémon were kinda cool. Though upon reviewing some of the current generation Pokémon, a few people have to at least agree with me that the anime will never be the same again. I HONESTLY think Ash's journey should END now. I believe he will NEVER become a "Pokémon Master" if he is still ten years old and keeps on finding random strangers to hang with. It's like the whole concept of Pokémon slipped entirely. That episode when he defeated Gary was like the highlight of the show and I wish they had ended it after the original series. That heartwarming goodbye music, that tearful sad music (the one I'm referring to can be heard when Jesse and James are telling Snap to "capture" their Pikachu); the original Pokémon was amazing. The anime had so much depth and beauty to it. Now the music sounds like crap and the characters are getting weird. I wish they would just end Ash's journey and make a new character or something; like a spin-off. I just want to watch the last episode and see Ash finally become a Pokémon Master and reunite with Misty, Brock and all of his other traveling companions that he met no the way; I mean EVERYONE. Even from the new episodes. I just want to see this show end already.....wow, I drifted off a lot there. But yeah, I was wrong; there were Pokémon based off of objects too.

As far as the Pokemon anime goes. Yeah, I do think they should end Ash's journey altogether, but I don't think they should necessarily end the Pokemon anime series altogether. What I think they should do is make a new version of the anime. Start it off with a new Pokemon trainer, with new writers, and create a new Pokemon anime series that's fresh and new.

I'm talking about something along the lines of this:
                      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-X03D3tSVU

If they can make Pokemon look that badass in an anime trailer, they can so make an anime out of it. I'd watch it for sure if there was a Pokemon anime similar to that trailer.

But as for Pokemon X and Y. I'm personally looking forward to that game. I like how they're making it into a full 3D Pokemon game. Although, I do think they could have done a lot better with the 3D graphics. Hell, they've done better with Pokemon Stadium and Colosseum, and the 3DS is more than capable of making the graphics look like that, so I don't see why the Pokemon Company would not go with that.

I also noticed that quite amount of people were disappointed with the starter Pokemon. I don't really see why... they look just fine to me. In fact, I really like the frog Pokemon they have as one of the starters.

I think there should be a Pokemon game that is fully story oriented, where all regions are connected and you have to travel between them to get story quests done. I know there was Gold/Silver/Crystal where you could travel between Kanto and Johto, but it wasn't truly story oriented.
I suggest a game where you choose your starting regions, but their paths cross eventually.

The only generation that I found a bit ridiculous, sadly, is five- which is where the point of inanimate objects comes from. Sure, gen one had Jigglypuff as a Balloon pokemon- but how much did she actually resemble a Balloon? Gen five has flat out chandeliers and ice cream cones with faces.

As for the anime- the first season was the only crafted one, and is by far still incredulously superior. The simple reason this must be true is that they werent trying to expand it to have two thirds filler episodes- and that rather than focusing on leaving the story open ended, they thought about the full arc ahead of time. It is too bad they feel the need to keep Ash when continually restarting the franchise- marketing wise it makes complete sense, as nobody new would start watching if they had 1000 episodes to catchup on. But why must they make it Ash every time? It really Bastardizes the show.

Speaking of catching, it did bother me that Ash has about a total of three percent of the Pokemon.

^^^Whoa now, don't diss on Chandelure, I love that thing and in Pokemon Black, it become a very useful part of my team, it's ghost/fire type, that's awesome. She (my is a female) even saved me out of a tight spot when I was doing on online battle and got me the win, when it look for certain I was going to lose. Chandelure is an AWESOME Pokemon.

I even did like that ice cream cone Pokemon thing. Like I stated already having Pokemon based off objects is nothing new going back to gen one and in my opinion, the lamest gen was gen 3.
