    Good morning Retro Junkers,

I was doing a minor room cleaing yesterday and stumble across a pile of frames and pictures that I stored because I can't mount them on the wall (I have too many windows and none of my remaining walls are protected from direct sunlight)

I thought that you might enjoy this one. It's THE original painting that was used to create Stay Puft action figure's packaging. The one made by Kenner in the mid 80's.
The artwork is huge, It is about two feet large by three feet high. This used to be one heck of a conversation piece when it was mounted on my previous place's wall.

    Enjoy!

I paid a pretty penny for it ;)
Even though this painting is cool as hell, it's not my favorite one. The one I like better is the original painting for the first Ecto-1 car.
The art is as big as the Stay Puft one, the colors are simply breathtaking, in person, this baby is amazing.

Sorry for the low quality picture, it's a picture I took with my camcorder

        Have a nice day,
        Andre

The Ecto-1 painting is awesome. Are they prints or paintings? And where the heck did you find them?

            These are paintings.
The Stay Puft for instance, is all handmade using a airbrush and have been applied on a large purple painted canva. Kenner took a picture of it that they reduced about 4 times in order to create the action figure backing card.

The Ecto-1 is also airbrushed and hand detailed. It then have been applied to a white cardboard where instructions have been handwritten. They used the same "skrinking" process to create the Ecto-1's packaging. The Original Ecto-1 Painting is about twice as big as the image that appear on the Ecto-1's box.

These babies were acquired from a Kenner employee. These are my two preferred Ghostbusters collectibles. The Ecto-1 was my favorite toys as a kid (along with Return of the Jedi's Rancor mosnter)
