During the holiday season I'm not real big into the traditional Christmas songs such as Jingle Bells, Deck The Halls, Silent Night, Silver Bells, White Christmas, etc., except for a few as performed by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I'm more into the non-traditional rock 'n' roll based Christmas songs, such as Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon, Step Into Christmas by Elton John, Do They Know It's Christmas/Feed The World by Band Aid, Father Christmas by The Kinks, Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses, Christmas Is The Time To Say "I Love You" by Billy Squier, I Believe In Father Christmas by Greg Lake and Christmas Time by Bryan Adams. What are your favorite non-traditional Christmas tunes? Which do you prefer...traditional or non-traditional Christmas songs/carols?

Unfortunately I gave a bunch of examples in other threads. So I will only comment that I enjoy both, although I am very picky about which versions of traditional songs I like. For example, I can only listen to "Oh Christmas Tree/Oh Tannenbaum" if it is sung by Nat King Cole. Damn that man can sing in German!

I'm still a big fan of Bob and Doug McKenzie's "12 Days of Christmas" cuz you can't have enough back bacon for the holidays.

        Just the song this time...

The Eldorado is dead. Long live the Eldorado.
