Well now...is your Aunt Edna bugging you for your photo for Christmas?

Photographs are soooo 2 dimensional. Why not surprise her, and everyone else, with a 3D version of your entire head. The folks at MakerBot can make Christmas wishes come true. Thank god they're not life-sized.

I don't know about 3D photo booths, but I do know that the technology for 3D printers have existed for years. I've seen one before when I was at a tour for the Academy of Arts University. I was really amazed at the technology that is used to print 3D models connected to a computer. It just shows how much technology is rising with stuff like this.

That's funny, last night's episode of CSI featured a case where these drug smugglers used one of these 3d cameras to replicate guns

Can you imagine if this really caught on as a great gift?

Neighbor: Hey Edna, get anything cool for Christmas?

Aunt Edna: Yes, my nephew's shrunken head, in a box...Best Christmas Ever!
