Who is your favorite director of the famous 7 minute shorts? Chuck Jones, Friz Freling, Tez Avery, Bob Clampett, and Bob mckimson are just a few of the more popular directors, but there were others. My all time favorite would have to be Bob Clampett. I just loved high energy and elasticity he put into his characters. I also like how when you watch one of his cartoons, you almost never know how it's going to end.

Tex Avery by far, although I think his best work came when he was with MGM.

I also liked Freleng and Jones.

Chuck Jones is the one whose cartoons I recall the most. I often watched "The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie" growing up, and if I see it on one of the Encore stations, I'll stop to watch it still. I've been a fan of Chuck Jones for a long time. Robert McKimson's stuff is good, too, although in some of the Bugs Bunny cartoons he did, Bugs looked bigger.

I was going to say- I always remembered the Chuck Jones ones. Not sure if it was the stories or if it was truly his artistic hand.
