If there is one game I seriously regret trading in it's Mega Man X3.

Back when trading in stuff was the only way I could get new games I traded MMX3 without a second thought. Now on ebay or used game stores it goes for 60 bucks or more. I know its on the Mega Man X Collection but its just not the same as owning it.

Secret of Evermore was another regret but luckily I got that back a few years ago.

I never traded in games. I saved money by always buying used games (either the previously viewed/played games at rental stores, or the remanufactured ones that you used to be able to find at kmart for around $5). I did however once trade adventure island to a friend after getting frustrated at always falling off the same cloud & figuring I'd never be able to make it, then regretting it after pondering for a bit & figuring out how I probably could have made it. I did get it on an emulator many years later though, so it's all good. (I don't have any kind of driving need to have the original cartridges for such games, emulated versions suit me just fine.)

Transformers: War for Cybertron for PS3 is one I regret trading in but I completed the single player story and eventhough I liked it a lot I knew I wouldn't being going back to it because imo the dualshock 3 is just not a great controller for shooters. I have been trying to hunt down a copy of the game for 360 recently though so I can play through it again before Fall of Cybertron is released.

I was about to start a thread excatly like this, glad I looked first.

But to answer the question yes, I have regretted trading games in, especially lately since I've been playing more games. I regret trading in...

            Mario Superstar Baseball
Soul Calibur 3 for the Gamecube
            and my whole PS2 collection.

              Pokemon Blue Version

Back in the day I had an on/off relationship with Pokemon. The off parts were for reasons I can't remember anymore.

I was more likely to throw hissy fits back then than I am now, and over some mistake I made in Pokemon Blue, I decided I didn't like Pokemon anymore (a decision I made on many occasions) and traded Pokemon Blue in to a game store a short drive from where I live.

I regretted doing so the following evening and when I went back to the game store I sold it to in a bid to get it back, the game was gone!

It didn't help that my copy was a US import and the game wasn't due out in my country (the UK) yet.

I did eventually get another copy, in the form of a US import, as I wanted a like-for-like replacement.

I was/still am a Pokemon fan in the long run, but why did I have those many off moments with Pokemon? They were SO unneccesary!

I am a Pokemon fan as well.

I have a friend whom traded in his Pokemon games, including HeartGold and Diamond. I can tell you for sure he does regret it now, especially since he had a shiny of Floatzel. I like to give him a hard time about that every now and again,.

My NES and all the games I had with it. Although I didn't trade it in, I gave it to a friend. So I can at least have some hope that somebody is still enjoying it to the fullest. And I can still play all the games on virtual console.

                    This.
Though I traded it for Gold version, which is better.

I regret trading in my N64 8-9 years ago. I could've kept it as a collectible even though I did not have many games for it (I lost some of the games I had for it).

I have kept all the retro games I owned. Though I had a friend who stole Castlevania: Symphony of the Night from my brother. So I suppose I regret not watching him to see if he left with anything that wasn't his.

I never traded in games because they ripped you off. I do regret selling certain titles though.

I also regret trading in my Mario Kart: Double Dash for Gamecube and my PSP, though I didn't have many games for it and didn't see many games that interested me, still wish I didn't do it.

And although not a video game, it's related in that I also regret trading in Sonic the Hedgehog: The complete series DVD. But I should be able to find that one still at a fairly good price, which I am going to have to do one of these days.

Mario Kart: Double Dash was one of the best ones. It's graphics are easily comparable to the recent Mario Kart 7. I borrowed that game from a friend and lost it, but that game was definitely a highlight from my childhood. Though if it's music we're talking about, Mario Kart 64 takes the spotlight on that one as it did have some of the most memorable tracks; especially from Luigi Raceway that did return in Mario Kart 7. It was so catchy.

I don't regret trading any 1 game in but an entire system. I had to get rid of my 64 and all of the games :( ... I've since got one back with all the games I loved on there except for Ocarina Of Time and Mario Kart 64.

Any game traded in should be a regret- in fifteen years of gaming I have never seen a deal worth even the slightest advantage of trading in a game; the newer commercials for gamefly say it perfectly by showing the ravaging customers who destroy the store for being offered five dollars for a game.

My ex stole a stack of games from me when we broke up in '98. D&D, pools of radiance for the NES and about a half a dozen SNES games.

Boy was I wrong about that statement, turns out that DVD set is actually getting REALLY hard to find and if you do find one, it could cost quite a bit. Now I REALLY hate myself for trading in my set, (though in my defense, it wasn't as hard to find back than.), I mean I am really kicking myself and truthfully, now this DVD set is a bigger regret for me than any video game currently.

Mario Kart for SNES, my dad kinda made us get rid of it after it put a permanent split in the TV from over-play.

Also I impulsively pawned my XBOX with around 12 games (Half Life 2, Halo 2 with map pack were the most played) and various accessories to Gamestop for an under-whelming $80 in store credit. That was 2007 and I still regret it.
