well seeing as the administrator and mods of this forum are pretty much along the lines of "dead" i thought i'd share with you guys on how to make a transparent avatar of your own. first find an image of great quality, one that has no watermark or pixelated dots in the background section and make sure it's in PNG format, since it's the only other that allows transparency other than GIF. second, download the image onto your computer and go here:
click "browse" and select your image, then the page will load and take you to your image for editing. Now go to "resize" on the top left and now you can move your mouse over to the image to change its size. or to resize it without the limit of the width and height, you can uncheck "aspect ratio" and change it to your liking. Once done, click on "apply", then click on the "wizards" tab and click on "transparency". Now just click on any area of the background that you want transparent, and make sure to get the areas that weren't filled, as some parts of the background may have been blocked off from a part of the image inside the background. if there's anything unnecessary like a signature or logo on the bottom of the background, check the "draw transparent line" to erase it. But be careful, because the transparency line comes out as a thick red lining, so you may have to click on "undo". now just click on "save" and click on "save image local" and on the prompt click "ok" and your transparent image should download to the usual download location
