The Hunger Games will draw comparisons from this awesome film.

I got it on region-free DVD also around 2002. It disappeared somewhere, sometime in the many moves...I don't have or plan to get a bluray player so I guess I will just sit it out for now.

It was recommended to me by a filmmaker friend. It's true, it is like LotF but with that great over-the-top treatment that only Japan can do. I only watched it once, really enjoyed it.

It's a decent film. A little on the longer side but it has good pacing. A lot of well made violent and gory scenes and most characters work. It's a little like Lord of the Flies plot wise. If it's priced well I may pick this up, I only have shit bootlegs of both

          Never heard of it.
There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.

Finally, the controversial Sci-fi masterpiece from Japan is here in the US on Blu-Ray in a collection that has theatrical cut, director's cut and BR II from Anchor Bay.

This is one of my fave Sci-fi movies since i obtained a copy of it on DVD back in 2002 as it's an action cult classic not to be missed by cinema buffs.

            Any other fans?
