demonpuppet87 2 years 8 months ago Posts: 513	Then since Blade is a superhero, I would say my favorite non-superhero comic-book based movie is Casper as well as its one of its direct-to-video follow-ups, Casper Meets Wendy. It was the second (and final) straight-to-video follow-ups to the 1995 original, the other one (namely the first) being Casper: A Spirited Beginning, one that I didn't care for. And do supervillain comic book-based movies count as non-superhero comic-book based films? I would say that Elektra would be my favorite in that nature.

There was buzz a few years back and now that I've read some of the comic, I'm bummed that it never came to fruition.

Now in similar terms Sarah Michelle Gellar needs to reprise her role as the titular character of Buffy The Vampire Slayer (she played it in the TV series) in a full-length motion picture.
