    		 Honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised at these responses. I thought I was like the only one who realized how horribly greedy the company was.

      		 I have not had to pay a dime to Google for any of their services. Google maps/Earth is just plain majestic.

      Apple has moved towards a unibody design which makes anything DIY including replacing the battery very difficult.

      On my Dell I replaced the battery in 10 seconds. On a Mac you have to take the whole unit apart (pain in the ass) with the possibility of damaging something. It's OK, you can have Apple do it for you for $79.99 plus the cost of the battery.

      Apple products are nice, but I can get a lot more PC/Android with much more flexibility for less.

          		 Oh yeah, I hadn't even thought about the Cult of Jobs. You're absolutely right. I remember when people were calling on Apple to improve working conditions for their employees, all the Applebots were spewing shit like "Other companies do it too why just blame Apple hypocrites blah blah blah." First off, Apple had the most influence on these factories, and second, that "everyone else is doing it" crap is an argument you're supposed to learn is shit during elementary school. It doesn't excuse any individual company, and the strongest way to send a message is to focus your efforts on one at a time, namely the biggest perpetrator.

          Idiots, ugh.

          As far as YouTube goes, I didn't mind the linking because I only have one YouTube account and two Gmail accounts, and Gmail has a nifty feature that lets you log into more than one at a time so it doesn't cause any issues.

            		 It does kinda of bother me that my Youtube is now connected to my gmail account, but other than that I have no problems.

            I love Google's free services. Google Docs and Google Voice are amazing tools I use frequently. Yeah, I dislike Apple as well. Jobs seemed like a douche and I hate how Apple has this mongoid cult following. I swear they could take a crap call it an iPoop and companies would make a case for it. I think people are so narrow minded they will pass on a superior product just because it's not Apple.

              		 I hate Apple. I really, really do. Unethical business practices, hipster bullshit marketing, and it was all run by one of the biggest dicks in history. I hate them to the point I refuse to buy or ask for a single Apple product, even an iPod.

              With that out of the way, I love Google and I always have. Everyone's complaining about how inter-connected they're getting with all of these services, but I think it's awesome and convenient. I know there are some privacy concerns, but people seem to forget it's up to you what's put up online and what isn't. I don't know any instances of Google unfairly releasing private information anyways. Otherwise, they're really chill and take strong stances on issues such as internet freedom, even when it's at their expense, so I totally respect that. Jobs would have probably shot someone for losing ten cents.

              I'm not usually supportive of any corporations and understand their main goal is almost always money, but I think Google is one of the few exceptions since they keep most of their services free and obviously care about both their employees and their users. They're perhaps the only company I wouldn't mind having a total monopoly in their area of expertise. So, what do you think?
