I've only ever seen the first one, I've never seen the 12 sequels or the brief tv series from '07/'08.

Loved the first Land Before Time but the rest were usless. I also remember the finger puppets you got from Pizza Hut :) happy times! We didn't get alot of the fast food toys so they were a pretty nice treat for me and the sibs.

I loved Land Before Time. One of the greatest animated films of all time. One of the many Don Bluth classics.

The Land before Time 1, is one of my favorite animated movies. The Land before Time 2-5, was ok. They made over 12 Land before Time movies and also The Land before Time cartoon series. I thought The Land before Time cartoon series, is ok.

I watched it once in theaters & liked it. The endless sequels were just tedious though, I only ever wtched them when they were on cable (and even then only if there was absolutely nothing else watchable on).

I don't think I've ever watched a given movie more than once in a theater in my entire life, no matter how much I liked it. I've watched movies a second time when they come out on video or cable, and I've watched some movies half a dozen times on video/etc, but I don't think I've ever watched a single one twice or more in a theater.

I remembered seeing this movie 4 times in theaters when i was 6 living in Omaha and loved it. It was quite a heartfelt and unique animated fantasy adventure and i remembered having the Pizza Hut puppets with PJs, 2 t-shirts, coloring books, junior novel, a couple of PVC toys from Sears, stuffed Petrie and that sort of thing.

Even the next christmas after the year it got released in theaters, i got it on video when i was 7 and this has always been one of my fave animated movies ever.

The first movie is much better

The first movie is seriously one of the best animated movies ever made.

The sequels on the other hand pretty much range from "Meh" to "WTF is this crap?" so you're not missing anything spectacular by not watching them.

I disagree i really liked it but it's not one of the best. In fact, I found Thumbelina and pebble and the penguin to be my favorites from Don Bluth

I really enjoyed the first Land Before Time. It has a memorable storyline and characters. The sequels are completely boring and unnecessary in my opinion.

There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.

Speaking of the original 1988 Don Bluth Land Before Time, I, too, consider it to be the very best one in the entire franchise.

Not long ago here, I once suggested that I might try and remade the first one myself, and if I do so, I should go to great and sometimes extreme lengths to reverse the damage wrought by the twelve susequent direct-to-video sequels as well as the television series based on them.

                                          Just kidding.
