But seriosuly, you really can't go wrong with anything on NES, even the bad games, if got cheaply, will give you some fun. But a few of my faves: Crystalis, Bubble Bobble (of coarse) Stinger, Journey to silius, Dynowarz, and if you can find it, Faria.

stake n sheak 2 years 9 months ago Posts: 1772	Megaman's not so great after 3. 4 was OK, just because of the new gun but by 5 and 6 it was really tiresome. Now the second and third games, are must-haves for sure; and the first one for a big fan or if you want more challenge. But the later games I would avoid after playing the others.

Drahken 2 years 9 months ago Posts: 1239	As long as your TV has the normal coax connection & an analog tuner, you can use any old game system on it. If your TV lacks an analog tuner, but both it & the game have A/V jacks, you can connect it that way & play just fine. btw What type of NES did you get? The old frontloader, the top loader, some knockoff brand, an old famicom, ...?

Drahken 2 years 9 months ago Posts: 1239	My old front loader gave up the ghost nearly 20 years ago, I definitely don't miss the days of having to spit in the cartridges & hammer the reset button to get the games to load. I currently have a top loader that I got ages ago. It still worked well the last time I used it, I just wish it had A/V jacks. One accessory you should try to find is an NES advantage joystick. You can place it on a table or hold it on your lap, and it feels/works a lot like playing at an arcade. It also has independantly togglable rapidfire for the A and B buttons, plus you can adjust the speed of the rapidfire, plus it also has slowmo (which actually just pauses/unpauses the game rapidly). When playing a 2-player alternating game, you can plug the advantage into both ports & just pass it back & forth. If playing 2 player simultaneous you can just plug in the one cable & plug any other controller into the remaining port for player 2.
