    This is a thread for people who re-watch/re-remember/re-discover
    Certain movies/TV Shows they watched during their childhood then
    watched again just recently. I'll start off with my own example.

    The Rugrats Movie {1998}

    After buying the Rugrats Movie Trilogy DVD set at the store,I
    decided to watch the old Nostalgic movie.It was just 13 Years ago
    in February 1999 when I watched the film in a budget theatre with
    my family(Six months before my brother my born.)It was the first and
    only time I watched this movie until now. After finally watching it again,
    I found out the film held up pretty well outside of Dil who I found to be
    pretty damn annoying causing the other kids to be in peril. Now its your turn.

      My Neighbor Totoro I rented that from a video store at the age of eight and I tried to find it again but the video store closed and other video stores didn't know what I was talking about. I found it on DVD at Rogers about 7 years ago and I liked those voices much better than the other one.

      The Dot movies were another one that I remembered watching both from renting them from the library and watching them on TV. Youtube used to have the movies but they aren't there anymore.

        Technically not a movie/game but, it still counts.

        The Rugrats Adventure Game(1997)
        This interactive point and click game was made
        broderbrund Games sometime in 1997 and yes I
        remembered it.(used to be a big Rugrats fan when
        I was a kid.)I just rediscovered it by videos on
        YouTube.

                I rewatched Rescuers Down Under recently. I loved that movie back in the early 90's.

                    I always thought Legend (w/ Tom Cruise) was an obscurity growing up, and for years I never had a copy. But since the director's cut was released, I've watched it maybe once a year. What an imaginative and well-constructed fantasy.

                    Another one is Mom and Dad Save the World, which sadly didn't have the same effect. It's still entertaining, but now that I'm older I see more of the humor (which falls mostly flat) than anything else.

                      Oh yes the 1971 film. I first watched it on ABC Family back in 2002 and just adored it. I need to rewatch it sometime.

                        Star Wars I:The Phantom Menace {1999}

                        Yes like with The Rugrats Movie I saw this film like 13 years ago and decided to finally re-watch it again seeing why did everyone hated it. It was actually kinda decent outside of some really annoying parts.(Jar Jar Binks. COMEDY RELIEF IN A FUCKING STAR WARS FILM?!?!) My favorite parts were the protagonists storm the Naboo Palace and Darth Maul.Also,does anyone remember this trailer aired before the film.(I do.)

                            Captain Planet and the Planeteers {1991-1996}
                            Like with every other kid of the 90s I
                            remember watching this preachy environmental
                            show once in a while. I decided to watch some
                            episodes on YouTube including some of the infamous
                            ones.Like A Good Bomb Is Hard To Find{The Hitler Time
                            Travel Episode}and The Power of Hate{The AIDS episode}
                            After watching these episodes I concluded the show was
                            weird,preachy,and just not fun to watch. I also think
                            that the show should get rid of Captain Planet
                            altogether and just focus on the Planeteers.

                              You Can't Do That on Television

                                Doug's First Movie {1999}
                                I finally watched the film that I was excited
                                for as a kid. It was March 1999 and when I
                                first watched the trailer on TV I was so stoked
                                to see one of my favorite cartoon characters to
                                get his own movie. But,for some reason My
                                mom took me to the theatre we saw the God
                                Awful Baby Geniuses.

                                The next opportunity came to me when the movie
                                came out on home video. I just rented the film
                                from Hollywood Video and put it my VCR.I hit play
                                and the freaking thing ate the tape up.(It was an
                                old VCR from the 70s/80s.)and had to pay for the
                                broken tape. I later forgot about the film.

                                It wasn't until late 2011 when the Nostalgia
                                Critic reviewed the movie that I remembered it
                                again. I finally found a copy of the tape at
                                Goodwill and finished watching it last night.
                                I love it. It was endearing and created so much
                                Nostalgia for me.

                                    These are the cartoons I've been pretty much watching from time to time currently, it hasn't been easy either. I've noticed about the eighites cartoons is that the intros are time less great; gets you pumped up for some nostalgia. . . .but when it comes to actually watching the shows....eeeerrmm LOL But we've all discussed that on numerous posts already.

                                      Beethoven/Beethoven's 2nd. Corny now, but I LOVED them as a kid! I miss these good family friendly movies nowadays.

                                      I also miss movie trailers that didn't act like every flick was the end of the world and with no narration.
