Does/did anyone have this figure? On it's back it should read "1989 Applause/Nintendo" It was the only figure in it's respective set. For those who need a description here we go:

Third one over from the right in the bottom row

Again, third one over from the right in the bottom row

    Smaller figurine on the left

If anyone still owns this I'm looking for pictures and a possible sale of this item. Anyways, post away!

        Holy crap!!!!

I HAVE TWO OF THOSE! I don't have the zelda ones, but for Christmas in 1989 I received the Mario where he's holding onto the vegetable and his leg is going off to the side, and the princess. I loved those toys so much and I still have them to this day. I can't believe you found that picture. I never saw those packages ever again. Thank you for bringing me back!

Wow hold onto the princess figure, she's pretty difficult to come across.

I've got both Princess and Link...but I am not willing to part with either.

Oddly enough, those are the only two I have. My twin brother has Luigi and a Mario while my younger brother has two different Marios.

I'll have to look for them and if I find them, I'll make sure to post a picture.

Also, I don't think the Princess that I have is in that specific pose. I think she has her hands near her waist. Plus, there are more Mario's than are pictured on the back of the package.

Finally, I know that there were more villains too. I specifically remember a Triclyde and Mouser figurines (from Super Marios Brothers 2). The Mouser was a wind-up figure. I didn't have either of these two, but I remember them being at Toys R Us. Nevertheless, I haven't been able to find any record of them ever existing.

thanks for the input spidey! I know a little bit about some of the toys that you mentioned. I'm guessing that the princess figure you have is the 1993 Nintendo Hasbro PVC. Here is a link to an eBay auction including that figure http://cgi.ebay.com/Nintendo-Super-Mario-Bros-Various-Figure-Lot_W0QQitemZ6038712556QQcategoryZ348QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Also those SMB2 wind-up toys were produced in 1989 by Nasta. The figures I know of from that collection are Link from Legend of Zelda, Mouser, Mario holding a flag, and Luigi holding a Radish. That mouser figure would fetch a pretty penny nowadays.

Could you please tell me what a Triclyde is? I'm afraid I've never seen that figure and I'm not too familiar with SMB2
