Every game series has a black sheep but can be enjoyable.

    Mine are:

    Super Mario Brothers 2.
    Legend of Zelda 2.
    Resident Evil 5.
    Castlevania 2.

What do you mean when you say "black sheep"?

My definition of a black sheep is someone with immoral values.
There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.

Black Sheep means when someone is more different than others in a family or when there's an oddball entry in a game or movie series

It also implies one which is generally viewed as being bad (at least relative to the others).

One of mine was final fantasy: mystic quest.

Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom on the Genesis is one great example of a black sheep in a video-game franchise. I know it because I remember seeing the fact when the game was included on the Sega Genesis Collection for PS2 and PSP (I have it for the former console), and as I was browsing the museum for each game in the collection (PSIII was included as well as Phantasy Star II and IV), it said that Phantasy Star III was the black sheep of the entire Phantasy Star franchise.

you know it... but have you PLAYED it?

it also had multiple endings due to having different main male characters choosing to marry and continue the story. choosing which male character who will marry differentiates the plot a little

Uh.. You seem to have missed the point of the thread, it's supposed to be which oddball game in the series did you LIKE.

Why do you consider any of these black sheep. I mean I disagree about lost levels but I get it but these others I just don't understand how they fit in to that.

^ Ultima 8 is often considered the worst of the series, and rightfully so. But i still liked the story and (some) gameply changes.

                                          What about my choices?

Lost Levels was NOT the black sheep since it was the original SMB 2.
