Since RE4 they've really turned it into an action game. That's fine with me but to alot of other die hard fans forget it. It is true though they just don't have that creepy feeling anymore to me like the first and second editions, serisouly no one can forget those dogs. Any thoughts?

Well the first 3 were good for their time but I find them impossible to go back and play now, the controls, graphics, camera angles, everything. I would like them to remake the first 3 in the RE4 style. But I am soo pumped to play as Leon again!

The Ronin Identity 2 years 10 months ago Posts: 410	I agree the "tank" controls of RE 1,2 and 3 are definitly way outdated but i still love Resident Evil 1 just looking at that cover brings back so many memories. This game was awesome one of my favorite stories for a game ever, you just wanted to keep discovering things and finding out what happened in that mansion. I definitly like the plot of the first game the best even though the new games controls are so much better.

ActionBastard 2 years 10 months ago Posts: 1481	The only way I'll ever get back into the series is if they make it like the old school RE games. I miss the suspense, the creepy background settings, the clever camera angles, all the puzzles and especially the most important part of an RE game, THE ZOMBIES. I really did enjoy RE4 when it came out on G-cube but 5 is too repetitive of number 4 and i'm sure 6 will be too. The newer ones don't have zombies which is gay, I liked it better when it was about zombie outbreaks in raccoon city, not a bunch of infected villagers.

Cause during each one you were going ooohh hell what's behind this that damn door now Also these weren't all that bad But I never finished both of the them the controls were somewhat improved though.

Jennings 2 years 10 months ago Posts: 458	I will say from the trailer I am excited for zombies to return and that a few areas at least take place in a city setting. I didn't care much for the Spanish European setting in 4 but it had its moments and I hated the Africa setting along with everything else in 5. Bring me a derelict city with zombies any day! One thing I really hope this game discusses is Sherry. She was such a major part of 2 and then they just forgot about her. It would of made more sense in RE 4 if Ashley was Sherry. Instead of the presidents daughter being kidnapped, Sherry is kidnapped because some terrorist group wants her blood cause it has traces of all thats left of the G-Virus. Plus I highly doubt it will come out this year. Unless they have secretly been working on it since they finished with 5. Also who caught the trailer for the new Resident Evil movie? Yeesh just when I thought they couldn't make the series any worse they turn the new movie into a 90 minute commercial for Sony.

Oldschoolgamer83 2 years 10 months ago Posts: 1360	Looks like a Gears of War 3 wannabe to me. I'll still get the game and probably enjoy it but it's not RE anymore and it's not because of the lack of tank controls, screw those, it's just that the franchise doesn't seem to focus on horror themes anymore.

darthmunk 2 years 10 months ago Posts: 3365	This one is supposed to be a mix of the classic games and the new ones. theres two campaigns. one with Leon and one with Chris. Leon's campaign is more like the classic games while Chris's campaign is more like RE4. but I will assume that the controls/camera angles will be the same for both. one is just more action while the other is more puzzley and scary. PS: This thread is the first I've heard of people actually liking the camera angles from the original RE games, lol.

Guild_Navigator 2 years 10 months ago Posts: 2009	I DL the trailer from the Marketplace and it does look really cool. But it is clear that this series is more now more about action along the lines of Gears of War than a horror game. I mean,it even has a cover system.
