Secret of Evermore is one of my favorite commercials. Its the only time I bought a game based off a commercial.
Also the Final Fantasy 7 commercials are some of my favorites. They just made you feel like you were going to miss out on something epic if you didnt get that game.

The one where the kid has a giant controllor. like 4 feet wide. And hes standing on the couch swingin it around in front of the tv, its in a dark liveng room and the only light is from the tv. cool 80s kid, with acid-washed jeans and an orange t-shirt tucked in (no belt) and spike blond hair. Anyway hes swinging this giant controllor beck and forth and then a monster comes out of the tv! First there's a closeup of the tv and the monster coming out, then there's a shot from the side where you see it comin out and the kid lean back. the monster was like cel-animation. looked sort of like a cross between my pet monster and a snake and a elephant. then the kid presses a button in the controllor and then the monster E-X-P-L-O-D-E-S!!!

i liked the early 90's genesis commercials, the ones that they'd yell "SEGA" at the end
Very much gotta agree with you I was SNES kid but man SEGA had great Ad campaigns. I'm surpised I can remember more Sega commercials than SNES ones.Example everyone remembers this one my sons are actually singing this after they saw it, proof there stuff was always catchy.
