Why can't we put RJ videos in articles? (..Or if we can, how?)
It seems quite silly to be able to embed vids from another site (ie, youtube) but not ones hosted on this very site. Far & away the vast majority of videos embedded in articles are things like openings, commercials, and trailers, which is the exact video content available here on RJ.

i don't know why it's such a problem for you to use youtube altogether. there's a ton of commercials from this website that can be found on it now

Uh.. Who said it was a problem to use youtube?
My point was that it doesn't make sense, especially if the video/s you use originally came from this site. Lets take something that's hosted on site A, upload it to site B, just to embed it in an article back on site A. Where's the logic in any of that?

If it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.

              Here's a point for you:

The youtube video linked in that thread has been removed because the uploader's account was closed. The video hosted here is of course still available. Why should RJ be dependent on a different website that just does whatever?

it would sound nice and all, but i'd hate to see the videos with the retrojunk logo slapped on them as they've always been. that, and they don't have a video quality option like youtube does

Because YouTube has tons of copyright strongholds.

So you'd rather an article presents a video and see no video than one with a logo :?
