i loved this game! for the 64, it was a beautiful, fun and lengthy game. so many different ways to beat the game, that u never truly beat it withought playing it at least a couple dozen times, every time taking about 1-2 hours. this game, in my opinion, is well made and truly the best space-fighting game ever made.

but wat r ur opinions? did u like it or despise it?

"The best space-fighting game ever made!" hard to argue with your opinion, ninjamonkey. I spent many hours trying to get all the medals and different routes, it also had pretty good voice acting for its time.

I like the first one for its nostalgic value, Starfox Adventures was fun because of all the lush environments, and Starfox Assult was just alright.

But Starfox 64 was far and away the best in the series, and I hope that Nintendo/Namco or whoever finally gets around to making a direct sequel to this game (possibly for the Revolution console?)

              Meh, it's pretty good.

My fave stage is Katina. (Blatant Independence day ripoff stage...)

Also, i thought Star Wolf was a stupid idea..

The thing i remember most about this game is the ridiculous commercials that they had for it...

One was this indian guy wandering the desert playing his N64 and praising the new *Rumble Pak* as being the best invention...

LOL, i remember at the end he would say *It's VERY spiritual!*

But i digress...The game was Alright.

I still play this game! Awesome gameplay and sound. The Rumble pak was introduced with this game, right?

I hated this game so much. I'm glad there's a topic on this, cuz just the other day I was ranting to my brother about how sucky that game really was. . .the setup was confusing, and it was kind of hard to concentrate on shooting the baddies and going through the rings or whatever when there are retarded animals talking to you and "losing you" (the signal was breaking up, or w/e. . .) while you're trying to focus on what you're supposed to do. Obviously, I picked "awful"--I'm not even going to lie. . .sorry, Starfox fans, but that game just didn't sit well with me.

Sorry to hear that. I like the feature how you hold the fire button and it locks to enemies.

A good game, although too short. The lines are very quotable, though (Especially Peppy's "Do a barrel roll!";).

Meh, I enjoy the first Star Fox better, because I miss the colorful polygons, Hajime Hirasawa's music (including the original main theme), and I enjoy those "Blah-blah-blah"s better than those annoying voice acting in the other Star Fox titles (excluding the cancelled Star Fox 2).

Slippy makes my ears bleed, while Peppy's most annoying quote became one of the worst internet phenomenons, IMO.

this is awesome! alot of threads these days only pertain to ONE side of an ordeal. like ull only hear about how GREAT or how AWFUL something is, nothing else, at least, something that gets stamped out and dismissed quickly. however, i never thought that starfox would make such a controversial thread. everyone is entitled to their own opinion and in my OWN opinion, i believe that this is a quality thread!

                                remember, quality over quantity

i wann hear what everyone else has to say about starfox 64! :D

This game is my favorite N64 game. Unlike Zelda:Oot this was a awesome game just to pick up and play. The story, the characters, and the music and sound were top notch. It also changed gaming with the rumble pack.

The gamecube sequals made me want to cry. I really hope Nintendo's new console can restore Fox and his team back to glory.

I also have the hilarious promo video from Toys R Us where two Nntendo employees are kidnapped by a Sony and Sega henchman.

                                  "Do a barrel roll"
