Though I knew of a Demolition Man game for SNES,the 3DO version that contained original movie footage with Sly Stallone remained largely obscure. Probably due to the fact that NOBODY owned a 3DO. I had friends or school/college buddies who owned a PCjr,the Atari 7800,the Atari XE,the Sega 32X and The Jaguar. But I don't think I've ever know somebody who owned a 3DO,and supposedly almost two million were sold.

I've only known of one person who had a 3do. I did'nt get to play it but I saw it. Those things are hella rare.

^ Oh yah I remember the 3DO. That shit cost more than $600 back then. No wonder it remains 'largely obscure'..

I had a 3DO once. My boss gave it to me, with three or four games, for free...

I gave it back to him the next day.

Here's a little bit of obscure trivia. Anyone remembers the Sega Laserdisc arcade game Astron Belt?

                http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INni12MSFdA

It was the first laserdisc arcade game and used extensive footage from a Japanese Star Wars rip-off (and all around awesomely campy flick) called Message from Space

                Now you know,and knowing is...something.

I want to say almost every comic book I bought (or picked up later) from 1982 seemed to have an ad for this film. You could send in 3-5 dollars and get a certificate and a patch, etc.

Hard to believe the main guy in this film wound up being the mayor on Spin City. :D

Even more shocking than the Milo & Otis (love that movie.BTW) game is the fact that there was a Nausicaa of The Valley of The Wind (Warriors of The Wind for fellow 80s kids) game relased in Japan completely in English...and it never came here because Warriors of The Wind flopped.

UUGGHHH this game was haaarrd. I remember just the first stage that air plane race was a pain in ass, the camera angle for that was horrible. Then I would last all Of five to ten minutes on the third stage sheesh. At least I was able to make it that far. One of my favorite movie combinor games was this one, very over looked game it was fun.

I knew about EVERY movie video game when i was young, cause they ALWAYS aired some funky commercial few weeks before the film is released showing the video game based on it. If you watch television, you would always know when a movie-based video game is coming out. Nowadays they are promoted about a few days before the movie in place of weeks.
