Hello everyone does everyone remember the awesome early fighting
genre that took off because of Street Fighter II? Just about every fri
or Sat my mother would take my brother and I to rent movies or games. If we got tired of pounding the crap out of each other on the big three (in my opinion Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct) we would go and try to see what other fighting games there were to play. DANG THERE SOME GOOD FIGHTING GAMES THAT CAME OUT AT THAT TIME. Alot of friends of mine have never heard of some that I've played either. So come on everyone what were some of your favorite fighting/beat'em up' games that came out in the ninties? Hear are some of mine.
Also remember how most fighers had a Ryu and Ken also Mike Tyson and and Bruce Lee in them? I tried to place all the Ryu and Ken knock Offs In the games. Futhermore I apologize I only have one Sega game I was an SNES kid Growing up. I didn't play the Genesis unless I went to my cousins, but I own a Genesis now.

THis was one of our all time other favorite fighters of time.
There was even a knock off Guile in this one I'll never forget
the night I beat King with two perfects and our
reaction was. . . . .NEW IT SEE SEE LOL

THis was the first time I had ever seen weapons used in a fighting game
for that it gets major badassery points.

I was never able to finish this game A Ninja named Sirou kept handing my ass to
    me.

I really liked the direction this game took it was very diffrent at the time.
Also maybe cause I'm a history buff might be why I liked it so much. It even had cool environment fatalities. For those of us who listened to hip hop at the Time. Remember when Bone Thugs In Harmony sampled the music from the Bio screen and made the song East 1999 Eternal? Which made me wonder Eternal as in there street or the game hhhmmmm. . . Awesome though

One 90s fighting game I wouldn't recommend is Street Fighter: The Movie. Except maybe for the soundtrack.

My favorite was time killers. I loved being able to chop off arms & heads with chainsaws, or beating my opponent senseless with nothing but headbutts because he had chopped off my arms. It always amazed me that people fussed so much about mortal kombat's gore, but didn't give a damn about time killers.

There were also 2 dinosaur ones. Primal rage, and an extremely lameass ripoff of primal rage.

...Then there was clayfighter. That one was fun.

i used to love eternal champions, i remember playing for hours trying to get the stage fatalaties (sometimes in the game if you'd beat your opponent at the right spot in the stage something cool would happen sort of like enviroment fatalities) Bone thugs n harmony actually sampled the music from one of the stages in eternal champions for their song Eternal.... great game

Yea I've got to agree with you this era right here particularly the early PS1 and N64 consoles it got to were it became a me to kind of faze for fighting games. I remember thinking Bloody Roar was going to be awesome but I didn't like it. By this time I got into playing Tekken even Rival Schools was pretty interesting.

Definitely right it was the golden age great time to be a kid. Thats right there was a sequel to Eternal Champions, I didn't get to ever see that one. Never had any friends or family who had a Sega CD but I remember reading about it though.
