stretchfanatic 3 years 27 days ago Posts: 51	A lot of people say most fanfiction sucks. I disagree. I have read a lot of great fanfiction with great plots and storylines. One of the best fanfics was this REALLY long "Alex Mack" fanfic on www.larisa.com that picks up where the finale left off. Alex takes the antidote, but it doesn't work, and her powers return ten times more powerful. Turns out her cells had learned to produce their own version of GC-161. Throughout the story Alex gets more and more powerful as she keeps gaining new powers such as flying, telepathy, emotion sensing, psychic visions, and morphing without turning into quicksilver. It's really awesome.

Drahken 3 years 25 days ago Posts: 1237	The operative word being "most". Yes, there are indeed some good quality fanfics out there. However, the majority of lameass crap that's not even worth the pixels it's printed on. I did stumble onto this one high quality fanfic author years ago, but I lost the link a long time back & can't find it again (especially since I can't remember her name). She had a lot of xena fanfic, plus she had her own unique story about a female gunfighter in the old west (played out a lot like xena). Most(all?) her work involved the main characters being lesbians, but it didn't constantly devolve into some 13yr old boy's wet dream, and the sexual aspects were not the focus of the stories. Does this ring any bells with anyone? (I've been trying to find this woman's work again for a very long time now.)

SSJ Jup81 3 years 20 days ago Posts: 4806	Like with everything, some are good, some are bad. The end. Some are purposely bad where others aren't. I can't say all fanfiction is bad. I've read some nice fanfictions before...ones where the characters didn't feel out of character and the story for said story was plausible.

Unfortunately it's no longer on her website, but it can still be found on the wayback machine. Also, she apparently published it as a novel.
