    What were some of yours?

In kindergarten we were on the playground playing duck, duck, goose. I remember being the person that went around the circle, finally I called someone the goose and took off. We ran a few feet when I look in front of me and wham! Ran into a beam on the playground. A nail head was sticking out and hit me in the eyebrow, busting it open. Needless to say I had to be rushed to the er, my uncle says they had to keep me from passing out in the car. I ended up getting a few stitches and missed a day from school

    Let's hear yours..

When I was in kindergarten, I got hit in the head by swing during recess. I didn't need stitches, but I did get to go home for the rest of the day.

Can't remember how old I was, but one time when I was a kid I was hit by a car (or at least the side view mirror of one). It happened like this, I stuck my head out to cross the street and check for cars when all of a sudden some woman came out of nowhere, speeding down the block. Still can't remember how fast she was going or how hard she hit me, but luckily I only got out of it with a nasty looking bruise on my face.

When I was 9 years old, if I remember correctly, I got a seizure that came about after I showed the family a somersault a few days after my head whipped back while sledding. I was in the hospital for several days while they healed me. I also had another seizure when I was 18. This wasn't as severe, but I did go to the hospital again. Before it happened, I was on the ground and banging my head on the pavement to the point where I chipped one of my front teeth.

When I was a lot younger, I attempted to do a backflip in the swimming pool. But instead of completing one, I landed face first on the pavement.

When I was 6 I was attacked by a stray German Shepherd. The thing bit my left hand and tore my glove off (it was winter)after wrestling me to the ground. I had a bite wound on my pinky and ended up needing 8 rabies shots after the encounter.

Then in 6th grade I broke my ankle tripping on the carpet at school. I was running from my classroom to get the school nurse after a classmate threw up in our room. Had an air cast for 3 weeks, was on crutches for one, and now I'm deathly petrified of anyone vomiting.

when I was 7 I was just messing around jumping into one of those low wicker chairs when I landed knee first into an unseen open safety pin that was sticking out of the cushion.

                  Sorry.

I ALWAYS remember seeing kids jump into pools, only missing the ledge by inches.

Back when I was about two I got stitches I don't remember this but have been told about it. I was just told that I fell at daycare and split my bottom lip and yes I still have the scar.

Grade two I fell from the monkey bars and just naturally thought I would land on my feet I was wrong. I t was more of a face first thing and I ended up breaking my left arm and had to wear a sling for six weeks.

In grade six another monkey bar incident in the winter left me with a sore foot because I landed on ice that was underneath me.

And I have had lots more injuries I remember going down a slide once with my sisters and ended up getting a scrape from a rock but I never even cried I just sort of shrugged it off and kept playing.

I once ran into a fence while playing tag and got a bloody and later fat lip from it.

Lots and lots of sprained ankles playing baseball. And I also came pretty close to breaking my arm during some stupid lake diving. Thankfully the only serious injury I ever had was a torn ligament in one of my knees (scooter accident, don't ask...). Had to wear a damn cast for almost month. I did almost get my nose smashed during a big fight in high school (all out classroom vs classroom brawl).

I was born in 1980... With that said...

I dislocated my elbow trying to copy a break dance I saw on TV.
My mom took me to the Dr and he just popped it back in place.

I had a hole in the knee of my pj's that I always caught my toenail on.
I got tired of it so one time I just shoved my leg through and ripped my toenail partially off.

I was playing with a friend in the parking lot of the church I went to. We where hiding a toy from each other and I was walking backward to make sure he wasn't looking and tripped over a parking stopper and broke my right arm.

My cousin was playing with me in his driveway and dropped me face first onto the rough asphalt. Really roughed up the side of my nose bad.

Went to a mini golf place once, I was standing too close to my friend when he swung he hit me in the side of the head.... Big ol' goose egg.

I fell many times, but never broke anything. Very surprising because I never drank milk.

I sliced my leg open running at night when I was 11. A guy in the neighborhood cemented these steel poles in front of his house about 2 feet tall (on county property)so no one could park in front of it. My mom went to a Mary Kay party at my friends house his mom was throwing. I wasn't allowed to go and was upset about it. So I ran down there to spy on them. As I was running back to our house my leg ran into one of those poles. My dad came home from work early and brought me to the hospital.

The first one in the ghetto kept us waiting a long time and I think had only one doctor working. The didn't even dress my leg which had muscle hanging out. We left and went to the one on the nicer side of town and got helped right away. I ended up getting 10 stitches. I still have the scar.

I had to get 3 stitches on my forehead in the 9th grade after a kid accidentally hit me in the head with a metal basket in shop class. We were giving the sub a hard time by throwing stuff when his back was turned. I got in the way as this kid swung back to throw the basket and he hit me in the head. Oddly enough one of the kids in the class that bullied me all year was the one that walked me to the nurse and seemed the most concerned.

I had bikes/skateboards and a infatuation with ninjas and fighting everyone. Recreating what I read in books/comics and watched on tv. Fancied about D&D and wield a plastic axe chasing my cousines.

So a couple of casts and stitches as badge of honor.

October 3rd grade i fractured my left elbow at school during PE playing "jump over the river".

late July after 3rd grade i fractured my left wrist. my brother pushed me off the jungle gym we had in the backyard.

sometime in 4th grade i got bit in the face by the neighbor's dog and got 5 stitches in my upper lip.

first week of December my sophomore year of high school i messed up my left knee playing basketball at lunch and was down for 8 months. still not sure what was wrong with it. and it still gives me problems to this day.

and there was a whole lot of scratches, scraps, cuts, bruises, and shots to the nuts.

sometimes i wonder how im still alive and in one peace

                                      2 big ones:
about grade 4, i was at my granny's house in LA, (this was during the time i lived in diego), i had walked backwards, and forgot all about the bathtub, and fell and hit my head real hard! which left a huge goose egg. and one i never forgot was in 7th grade, when i was finally living with granny in LA, however, mom and pop were there. it was during super bowl sunday, i had tripped over my granny's blanket, and hit the corner of the nightstand, which left a huge hole on my forehead, you can actually fit the finger inside and feel the bone inside! blood was gushing everywhere, and i had to get stitches! still have the scar.
a 90's kid, and i'm damn proud of it!

Okay back at the age of six I was racing my sister inside the house and I tripped when I reached the cement block step that was at our back door. I remember I was holding a wooden hammer and it came down hard on my left finger really hard. I was crying and my dad was squeezing it a lot with a cloth and later it became really badly infected.

Also anyone had a finger slammed in the car door? Well I have had worse. Our one van had a sliding side door and I got a full body slam when my sister slammed it shut while I was getting out she didn't know I was getting out at the time and she was excited to see our aunt and uncle and their dog. But still it hurt so much and I cried so much and kind of mad my sister for a bit after that but not for too long.

Would you count a stone stuck in one's ear as being an injury, even though it didn't hurt?

I have cut and grazed myself here and there, got into fights and stuff throughout my childhood.

I recall my arm being broken at age 12 when my brother and I were play fighting.

I also broke a toe on the banister once as a teenager.

Shortly after my first full year of college, I caught another toe in the bathroom door!
