Im sure we've ALL driven on the streets, freeways, and highways and spot that one of a kind car that you havent seen in over 20 years and think,"Damn, if I had the cash, I would tear it apart, fix it back up, and bring it back to life just as if it came straight outta the assembly line, but WAY BETTER!" SO I ask and share to my fellow RJer's,

What were your retro dream cars? Mine was the 1981 Second Generation Pontiac TransAm
I accually wish I was around when they came out.

I've always wanted a brand new Porsche 944. My dad own a 924 and I thought it was the coolest car ever. I also wish I was around when they came out even though I know I wouldn't have had enough money to afford one.

69 Camaro black with gray interior!!! My Dad had this car when I was a baby and by the time I was two my sister came along and Mom made him trade it in for an ugly blue Hornet Station Wagon! That pretty damn near had to be the closest my Dad ever came to removing his balls I'm sure! At least he got to keep the motorcycles but man I wish I could have inherited the car!!!

There's many vintage cars I'd love to have around, but the two I always drool over are:

1968 Mustang Fastback (I'd do a Bullitt design, even though it's a tired look)

1980 Mini Cooper (Switch it to left hand drive. Fun little summer car)

                            The A-Team Van
Coyote X (from Hardcastle & McCormick)
That submarine car from James Bond

...And I guess I'll never will get any of them

I went to my local Wendy's a couple of weeks ago, and there was a Delorean in the parking lot. The owner was there, so I went over and talked to him awhile. This was only the 3rd time in my life that I have seen a Delorean in person. The Delorean is definitely my retro dream car.

This is one of those rare cars with a 'timeless' design. Despite being made in the early 90s this car still kicks-ass on the road better than some of these recently made vehicles.

I should know, coz a friend of my mine drives one.

No, I didn't ask. He did tell me he had owned it for about 10 years. 10 years ago Deloreans were selling for around $10,000 - $15,000...now they usually sell for over $20,000.
