    		 I was reading an article here on RJ, and it suddenly reminded me of an old halloween special or episode. The special was a standalone thing, so it was either a special or an episode of one of those eclictic series where each episode is unrelated to each other one.
    The special was on in the mid~late 90s & was a new one at the time. I believe it was on nickelodeon. It might have been an episode of a show like tales from the darkside or are you afraid of the dark.

    I don't remember much about it, but here's what I have: It's trick or treat time, some kid/s get this old mask that turns out to be haunted or posessed. As the kid wears it, it starts to take him over, and transform him. His sister or something goes to this old shack where the old man who made the mask lives & finds a way to get the mask off, then they wind up burning it or something.
    Sorry, my memory of it is pretty fuzzy. Does that ring any bells for anyone?

            		 Yeah, that was the premiere episode of Goosebumps, it was in 2 parts back to back. It first aired on October 27, 1995. I watch it every Halloween season. There's also the Haunted Mask 2 which is another 2 part episode special.

              		 I love the Haunted Mask. I have part 2 on dvd, but I wish they'd put out part 1.

                		 I almost completely forgot just how big Goosebumps was back then. Haunted Mask 2 was one of the most hyped episodes of any tv show that I can remember. (Not counting series finales.)
