which that disney feels the need to remake this movie a 3rd time, that disney has lost all creativity and has been regurgetating crap for years, or the human looking eyes on the dog?

uhm... and twenty bucks on the gunstar to win.

Also, good call on the Gunstar, I'll put you in the books for 20

that seems what all disney has now they did the same thign with freaky friday. they remade that twice and lets my forget allt he sequals to movies 30 or more years old. I wonder where the people who used to come up with new stuff like tron and the good cartoons.

I don't know about anyone else, but as a kid we watched CED videodiscs and the intro on the early disc's is well creepy.

I like the Emerson, Lake, and Palmer version of Pictures at an Exhibition myself. Why RCA chose that for an intro, I don't really know. The next year they replaced it with a different intro. Not so creepy.

Not related to scary, but where is there a site for old intro videos to VHS/Laserdiscs (Warner Home Video with the clouds).

The Warner Home Video logo scared me a bit, mainly because of the music! I remember seeing it on some old Kidsongs tapes!

A better quality sound to the same Warner Home Video sound (1985-1996) was used when Gremlins (1984) started (The original VHS version used the old W in the circle-square object Warner Home Video (1980-1985). It is the first movie in many years to use the WB shield. On the other thread, I mentioned the TPS (Turner Programing Services) rainbow logo (1982-1992). That has some mildly creepy synth sounds to it, but it sounds cool at the same time. Does anybody have this jingle. I remember it off of an some old show and Captain Planet.

Everytime I see Baby Animal from Muppet Babies and characters from U.S.Acres/Garfield smiling with teeth, it makes me feel like this.

The tests from the emergency broadcast system used to scare me that beeeeeeeeep!

                              Here's what it sounded like:

                              WPIX-TV (11 Alive) EBS Test

Cool! Like I said in the opening/closing logos thread, are you gonna download that onto RJ, musicradio?

That's kinda scary, but the EBS "RRRRRRRRRNT" is even scarier!

In technical terms, the tones for the EBS and its successor, the EAS, are actually the same frequency, just arranged and played differently. It's two high frequency tones, played together. The folks that designed the whole thing meant for that "attention signal you just heard" to be so frickin annoying, that you wanted to turn tail if it was the real thing. Thankfully, neither system has ever been used for its primary purpose, allowing the President to commandeer remaining broadcasters in the event of a mass attack, although some believe the EAS should have been tripped nationwide on 9-11-01.

Sit, Ubu, sit. Good dog. <shudder>

I swear that dog was going to just jump out of the screen and rip my head off.

Good dog? Not a chance!!!! Ubu is a killer! Look at how he's mauling that frisbee!

the dog itself never really got to me, but the art style which they presented it in, the faded, yellowed out look. Ironically enough, why do you think every show with Michael J. Fox in it was produced by Ubu, because Ubu was Michael's dog back in the day. They later re-engineered the logo some years after it was on Family Ties, for Spin City, it might have been a different picture of Ubu.

I thought the Progress Exchange logo was scary.

My dad fu**kin calls me "Ubu" because I told him.

                                      Sit Ubu sit.
                                      Good dog.

I can't stand my fu**ing dad calling me that.

That is a waste of sh**.
