The Worldvision logo used to scare me, too!

This was the shortened version of the Worldvision Home Video jingle. The original version was heard here

I don't think I ever found that scary before, but when the music is looped like that, yeah, that's freaky.

Same here. I am glad I'm not the only one.

I was a mere child. It was the late 80's. It grated me a lot! That awful noise would make the roar of Kong from KING KONG VS GODZILLA sound delightful. I never saw KKVSG

Spiderman used to scare me. Remember SPIDER MAND AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS.

              "Oo-weee-oooh eeehhhh BRUUUMMMM."

And Spdierman flew in the camera. Now that doesn't scare me anymore.

That Jack and the Beanstalk skit with Kermit on SESAME STREET was scary. You have to guess (hint: the scariness happense at the end). Remember I was a small child.

I was 9, and I got this tape called SON OF GODZILLA. I would imagine that there will be some horrific going ons. I put on the tape ducked my head down. All I heard was "RRAAAIIII-UUUHHH-UNK!!!" That sound doesn't scare me, but when I slowly moved my head up. PURE BLACKNESS but the noise. Stopped the tape, rewound it, play. There was the creepy title (completely different from the crappy Sony DVD), then there was Godzilla. The sky was dark and stormy, he was roaring. He didn't look scary. I let it go. But what scared me in the film was the battle with G and Speiga (a huge ugly tarantula). During that fight they keep cutting into close-ups of Speiga's mouth and Godzilla's eye. The eye creeped out my brother. As I watched the film, I conquered my fear and loved the genre of kaiju eiga.

In GODZILLA VS THE SEA MONSTER, an island girl was getting away from Godzilla and he was looking down at her and the girl was scared and they cut into Godzilla's face. The deep growling noise is what made it scary. "RrrrrrRRRRRRRrrrrr!" I was 9 back then, but I was no longer scared.

When I saw GODZILLA ON MONSTER ISLAND, which was my first G-film I saw in my life, I got scared at the ending where the girls are saying goodbye to Godzilla and Angilas before they went into the water. Godzilla turned around and through slow motion roared. Now I am no longer scared of it. I think it is cool.

The most bothersome yet scary movie moment relating to the subject in this thread, was from GODZILLA VS THE SMOG MONSTER. I was 9, and there was one scene where I called it "The Noisest Scene in Cinema History." Multiple Squares getting smaller and noisier. And there were a lot of colored squares looking like a creepy beepy UFO. See the movie and you will know what I am talking about. Now I find it disturbing.

PEE-WEE'S PLAY HOUSE grated me. Two words: Too much.

HULK HOGAN'S ROCK N' WRESTLING scared me. I was a small child. It gave me nightmares. I had nightmares where I was clobbered by Hulk Hogan. From then on, I began to hate wrestling. And I still do. But that does not make me a...forget it.

              That's everything so far.

                Well...I'm a big cartoon junkie.
When I was maybe...six or seven years old...WPIX-tv broadcast FELIX THE CAT
(produced by Joseph Oriolo and distributed by Trans-Lux).

Each cartoon in that series had two parts to it.
In between them, they had this TL logo with Felix inside a TV screen.
They played this creepy orchestral music while this announcer in a maniacal tone of voice asked the question:

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO FELIX IN THE NEXT EXCITING CHAPTER
OF THE ADVENTURES OF FELIX THE CAT?!

                In fact, I remember they had two different logos like that;
with different versions of that creepy orchestra!

                  WPIX-TV (11 Alive) EBS Test

Cool! Like I said in the opening/closing logos thread, are you gonna download that onto RJ, musicradio?

That clip belongs to the TV Ark website. I don't think they'd appreciate people taking their files and uploading them onto other sites.

I didn't see anything on TV Ark that says you can't do that. I think the PBS logo from 1984 was uploaded from there.

I defo need to see that pic.

thank you , I'm not alone. on that one, Ithink they also did that on Futurama using Qif's face.

as far as others, anyone rember this one from MTV where it enters some space then some heads that look like data's from ST TNG, not sure but I think it was constantly saying TICK TICK TICK over and over in different pitches. really creepy . and the one intro to a horror movie that wwor9 did.

It's done in a black and white city, a storm is a brewing, and a Giant 9 slowing moves in closly to the screen. that's as far as I know

Since people are mentioning movies that scared them, I'll stand up and make a confession also. Try not to laugh too hard, OK?

When I was younger, The Blank (from the movie Dick Tracy) really freaked me out. I would always turn away from the TV during the scenes where the audience is first introduced to this character. There's a few seconds where he* is just staring at the camera. And that voice...yeah.

I saw the movie on Turner Classic Movies two weeks ago. Even though I was able to get through those scenes without flinching, there will always be a part of me that hopes I never hear that voice in a dark alley.

*I've seen the movie, so I obviously know the "surprise" ending. I'm just trying to avoid any potential spoilers for those who may never have viewed this movie, and might want to check it out.

I remember the outro for "Silver Spoons" at the end of the show where a long time WOR-TV voiceover announcer saying that "Who's the Boss?" is coming up next. And then all of the sudden, it the Embassy logo. You might listen to the closing right now!

"Silver Spoons" Outro with Embassy logo

Plus, as a treat, a few outros from the shows that you've seen or never seen on TV.

"Lidsville" Outro with "Wheelie & the Chopper Bunch"That outro has no scary Sid & Marty Krofft logo on it.
"Fat Albert" OutroIt has a CBS voiceover for "What's New Mr. Magoo" and "Space Academy". It has a 70's Filmation logo on it. Not too scary.
"The Brady Bunch" OutroIt has a ABC voiceover to promote a "Jacques Cousteau" special and then the scary Paramount logo
"WKRP IN Cincinnati" OutroIt features the most scariest logo ever in history, the MTM logo.

I also found a few outros. Thanks to TV-Ark for bringing it back due to problems with the server. Here they are:

"Amigos And Friends" Outro with Viacom's "V" of DoomOne of the all-time favorite logos that you'll might scare you to death.
"The Secret Lives of Waldo Kitty" OutroIt has a Filmation logo on it
"She-Ra Princess Of Power" OutroThat has a different Filmation logo
"Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends" OutroIt has a Marvel logo on it.

ok I'll admitt that the kitty was scarry as hell back then, but cute hell even the cat from 321 contact was scarry as hell too. but back then i was scared of cat and dogs.

I guess we all have a lil Chuckie Finster in all of us.

any way getting back to that WKRP ending, does anyone know what the hell that guy is singing? somthing about banas and coca-cola? (JK) :-p

And let's not forget the ABC PSA's for Timer. Timer was a character that he was talking about foods. The end of Timer's PSA on breakfast scares me to death where Timer explodes to black.
