It's hard to believe, but it was 15 years ago that the Nintendo 64 first hit the shelves in America. I still remember how amazed I was when I played Super Mario 64 for the first time, being able to move Mario in an 3D environment was a huge step toward modern gaming.

This console was responsible for some of the best gaming experiences of my life, like Zelda Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Star Fox 64 and many other titles. And it all started on September 1996, though it seemed like yesterday... and I'm sure you guys feel the same way.

I had some fond memories playing with my N64.

Yeah the N64 is gettin pretty old. It's old enough to get it's drivers permit now.

You're right Wilsted, the N64 is responsible for some of the great moments in gaming history. Mario 64 was like Woah! when it came out. Goldeneye brought me and my friends and siblings hours of multiplayer entertainment. Ocarina of time was just simply amazing. And You can't forget the funnest racing game ever, Mario Kart 64.

There were too many great games for the 64, it truly is one of my all-time favorite gaming systems.

The N64 was special to me as well. We were rather poor when it came out and I remember being rather envious of my friends' 64s... Got a call one day from our local movie store and we had been picked from a random drawing of their regular customers to win a new N64!

I got it for the first time in 1997. I even had to sell my Super Nintendo in order to have enough money to buy my N64.
I loved many of its games, MK4, Super Mario 64, Turok, MRC, etc.

I had a Playstation. My cousin had a N64. It had very few fighting games. Killer Instinct was okay. We mainly played Mario Kart or Goldeneye. I'm still stoked that my PS1 could play import Street Fighters or Castlevania: SOTN as opposed those limited quality N64 titles.

I remember I was so pissed off at the fact that the PS1 was more popular than the N64 and some of my friends would even call me an idiot 'cause I didn't choose the PS1 and its pirate games. But I do not regret buying my N64 and, if I could go back in time, I'd do it again, that's for sure.

Talking about the games, I think that the N64, even though it had fewer titles than the Playstation, had, perhaps, the best game library of all time. Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye 007, just to mention some of them. Besides, the funniest multiplayers were all available for the N64.

Quality over quantity, that's what I always said if someone asked me why I prefered the N64 over its rivals.

And let's not forget that today is the 15th anniversary of the Nintendo 64's North American launch! I remember the date (October 2, 1996) very well because I remember seeing a promo for the Nintendo 64 launch in a Service Merchandise catalog around that time.

The Nintendo 64 is one of my all time favorite game systems (the NES is another favorite of mine). I remember getting my first Nintendo 64 back in Christmas of 1997 and I was so amazed when I played Super Mario 64 for the first time (and it's still my all time favorite video game to this day). I can't believe that the Nintendo 64 is now 15 years old and I'm currently 21 years old.

Hard do believe the N 64 is 15 ! I remember when it first was coming and it was a big deal the future of gaming . I remember when I got my first N 64 and my first game was Mario 64. I also remember when Blockbuster was big with the N 64 Games. I rented a N 64 from Blockbuster to see if I liked it and I loved it best game selection and titles. I love pokemon Stadium the worst game in my opinion is Pokemon Snap all you did was take pictures of pokemon.

Super Mario 64 was also my first video game for my Nintendo 64.

The N64 to me isn't a retro console, it's more of a modern console, just like the playstation.

                                  Just saying.

But it did have some really good games, but the PS1 had a SHITLOAD of awesome games like metal gear solid, castlevania, etc. What I'm trying to say is, is that I kinda enjoy the PS1 a little more by an inch thanks to the good platform games on there and not to mention, Rayman!

By this time I had gotten my first job buuuut I didn't go by a N64. Granted it was awesome to see mario in 3D enviornment and Golden Eye was also great. But friends and I were playing Loaded and SoulBlade but that time alot. So the first system I bought with my own money was a Ps1.

I still play Mario Kart 64, though not Super Mario 64 as often anymore. Mario Kart 64 is so fun to play with friends, even in today's modern society.
