    Hi,

In 1993 I wrote a letter to Marvel Comics asking them where I could find Captain Planet comic books, or merchandise because my then 8 year old son loved Captain Planet and I was having a hard time find the books etc.

A couple of weeks later, my son received a large package in the mail from Marvel Comics with a letter from the editor stating that they had not published any new Captain Planet issues since last spring. But the editor included 13 original Marvel Comic pasteup boards with a comic book page pasted up on them for instance Issue #11 page #5. I've had these stored away since 1993 and my son is now 24 and I asked him if he wanted them and he wants me to see if they are worth anything as a collectible item. Do you have any idea their value I have the letter from the editor which will authenicate the story boards and the large envelope that they were mailed to us in, and like I said 13 pasteup boards, all in good condition.

Please email if you can or if you know where else I might be able to check on the value of these board.

    Thanks,
    CindyD

The 90s are a notoriously unwanted time for comic books on the collector's market.

Captain Planet isn't the most popular comic book on earth, to comic book fans, but might be of interest to Captain Planet fans. I'd say the whole deal might be worth somewhere in the area of $50-$75.

That's a great story though, must have been really cool for your son when he got that package.
