From what I've heard people say, both the GameGear and Nomad had reallybad battery life. And the Saturn didn't sell very well either. From what I've read, the game for it were defective, and had a bad tendency to freeze while people were playing it. I haven't heard of anyone having any really bad problems with the Genesis. Can you think of any other good sytems Sega Genesis had?

If you lived in Europe, where it lived a long life compared to its life in the United States. However, IMO, I believe the Genesis/MD was Sega's best system, even though I had one when I was very young.

The Game Gear had awesome graphics and I loved it, but yeah it drained batteries like nobody's business.

Unless you had an AC adapter for it. Compatible car adapters might also work wonders for the Game Gear, too.

No, I think that the Master System was also a great console, just like the Sega Genesis. Saturn and Dreamcast, however, were obsolete compared to its rivals (especially the Sony consoles), and that was Sega's downfall. It was a pity, as MS and the Genesis were my first consoles when I was kid.

Dreamcast is retro now isn't it? That's one of the best consoles of all time. GameGear was awesome. I still have one with a bunch of games and the ac adapter and the car adapter too!

It probably is, even though the DC itself didn't have much of a lifespan here in North America.

Don't know about the Game Gear, though, I used to have two of them, around Christmas 1994, but quit working on me (even though I was seven at the time). I even remember my MH aide bringing her sons' Game Gear with her to school, system, games (four of them - Aerial Assault, Jurassic Park, Road Rash, and Sonic Chaos), AC adaptor (since the G.G.'s battery life sucked compared to Nintendo's Game Boy), and a canvas bag that she'd put them all in - the only way she could bring it.

Personally I liked the Dreamcast, problem was it was too ahead of its time I think. Also when I first saw the Saturn, I thought it was pretty damned awesome. But then again seeing games like Mr. Bones and NiGHTS into Dreams back then break the second dimension was pretty impressive.
