I love this game. It's a great entry in the Capcom crossover series. I have it for an emulator on my psp. I wish I had the real copy.

Awesome game, truly a classic. I have the rom on my modded XBOX for Final Burn Alpha emulator. The PS1 version is sadly not a good port of the game. It takes away the main feature of tag teaming in standard mode, and only makes it available in limited form no less, in two local player crossover mode. The Saturn version is the best home version, but that never saw an American release, only a Japanese release.

Regardless though, its the experience you have with it that counts. If you liked it on PS1, it was impossible not to get addicted to it in the arcades or with an emulator. Would love to see an PSN and XBOX LIVE version of it.

My local bowling alley has a Marvel superheroes vs Capcom arcade machine (which I have to beat almost every time I go there). I was wondering if that game ever had a home console release?

Yup, it did. PS1 and Dreamcast. Once again like all of the games made when Capcom acquired the rights to license Marvel characters, the PS1 versions are the most inferior due to system limitations. Stuff like long loading times, big slow downs during game play, less graphical similarity to the arcade, and tag team matches missing for the most part.

The PS1 has some bonus features though, like an art gallery and an extra attack for MegaMan. The Dreamcast has a mode where four players can simultaneous play

My bad, it was actually called Marvel superheroes vs Street Fighter, not vs capcom.

Anything with the abbreviation "V.S." in the title and is also made by Capcom is automatically awesome.

Awesome game from my teens!! Wolverine and Akuma were my dream team!! Between Wolvie's claws and Akuma's tornado kicks they were unstoppable.
