Mario Party 2 is one of the better Mario Party games out there (pretty much Mario Party 1, 2, and 3 are the best but that's just my opinion). I have the American version as well as the Japanese version (it came with my Japanese Nintendo 64 that I bought off of eBay) of Mario Party 2.

I only have/have played the first three. Hell, I just played it last night!

I've played 4 of them, but 2 was the first one I owned, and I played that game for years. I still have it.

Mario Party 2 is the first game in the Mario Party series that I played. I had a very fun time playing this back at around 2001 and 2002. It was also after playing that game that I decided to get Mario Party 4 for the Gamecube, which is also very fun to play.

I did try to play Mario Party 8, as that was one of the games I first got with the Wii. Unsurprisingly though, the game sucked really hard. Now, they're working on a Mario Party 9... and I can already tell that one is going to suck just as hard.

I had loads of fun with Mario Party 2. I haven't played many of them, though. The one that came with the Wii was okay, but I still enjoyed Mario Party 2 over it.

I would like to know, why they took the costume feature out of the later games after 2? Everyone knows that was one of the best things about 2 [and is what sets it apart from the others].

The old Mario party games are responsible for many blisters, and many a broken N64 joystick (flimsy piece of crap n64 joysticks were inferior to other joysticks).

I never experienced this at all.
