I need help recalling this one... I think it was a fighting game where you only played as one character. I know for a fact that the second oponent was a guy in a bar named Jack and i remember he was really big, the last time i played this game i was seven. If you could help me remember i'd be truly grateful

(ps anyone here a major Contra fan?)

    Thanks in advance

I think the game you're talking about is Renegade. This game was ahead of its time. You had to fight hoes and gangs, and to top it all the final boss was a guy who looked like a typical pimp in a green suit.

As far as Contra I stlill remember up, down, left, right, A, B, (select start if 2 players.)

You're thinking of Art of Fighting by SNK (1992) for the Sega Genesis/Mega-Drive. A truly great fighting game here are some pics.

Actually, AOF came out for the Neo-Geo, THEN the megadrive and super famicom. The screenshots are from the Neo-Geo version, cuz let's face it: Genesis is too weak to handle it properly, and even the snes version was lacking graphically.
