    Nintendo has just announced the price drop for the 3DS. Before, it was $250. Now, it's being dropped to $170.

    Personally, I think this is a good idea on their part since $250 is way expensive for a Nintendo handheld system.

      		 I actually heard about this when I was at Nintendo Fan Forum earlier this morning. I'm excited that the 3DS is getting more affordable in 2012. I may want to consider getting one of these on my 20th birthday. ^_^

        		 Glad to hear it. I personally just couldn't see paying 250.00 for any handheld system.

              		 Didnt take very long for the price drop. They have alot of games I want to play comming out, may have to upgrade my ds lite.

                Agreed. Especially since I only have a DS Lite. I wonder if the price drop is also because cell phones are getting 3D.

                    Never had an N64, but I bought it on the Wii's Virtual Console, so I really want the 3DS version.

                        		 Lets not forget the lackluster library the Wii had during its initial release. The biggest title at release was a GCN port. Eventually the big hitters arrived. Nothing makes the 3ds any different. The holiday season should be interesting provided some of the games stick with their release schedule.

                        10 free NES games (in September) and 10 free GB Advance games at the end of the year seems to be decent compensation for those who bought the 3ds at the $250.00 price.

                          It's because it isn't selling well, and many games got cancelled on it.
