    Anybody here play Emulators or other games with a joystick or controller? I had trouble a while back playing my emulators with the keyboard. So I bought SNES control converter, where you can connect a SNES controller into the USB port. I recently received a PS2/N64 control converter. My N64 gaming experience is better.

      I use an MS Sidewinder Precision 2 when flying in Battlefield 2. For emulation gaming, my Gravis Eliminator with analog controls work well.

            You may find a better deal. I'm just too lazy to go out shopping.

              I have mastered the keyboard when it comes to emulators.

                Me, too, but with Super Mario RPG, some special attacks require you to rotate the D-pad, which is almost impossible to do!

                  If you're referring to computer emulators such as MAME & other classics for SNES & Genesis...

                  I forgot what it's called, but I got one that perfectly replicates the PS1 & PS2 controller. It's very comfortable, very sturdy, and very affordable. It's MUCH better than those other Logitech or Microsoft controllers that I got in the past, and I've been happy with it since. It's very compatible with these emulators... and setting them up is a breeze.

                  The only thing I don't like is how the analog tends to mess up some games that were digital to begin with (then again, that's what the D-pad is for... but the D-pad provided isn't that great).

                    That's what I'm usually stuck with when I play MAME32 off a 1GB memory stick at work. Speaking of keyboard control, I remember when I first started seeing gamers utilize a mouse for torso movement in FPS's. I thought they were nuts 10 years ago. Now when I see 10 fingers frantically stabbin' the keys I laugh my ass off.

                      I can use a keyboard and mouse at the sametime when I play 1st person games such as Call of Duty. It drives me insane not using a keyboard and mouse when I play those games like Halo. The gamepad is my my best friend with emulators such as MAME and others.

                        That's one reason why I just can't bring myself to buy a console.

                          I hear you. That is also why N64 was my last console

                            I have a joystick for my NES. I'd rather use a control pad any day though.

                              I use one of the following:

                              Nyko Airflo
                              PSX -> USB Converter
                              XBox controller

                              I use the XBox controller more often though.
