That's both hilarious and ironic; someone was just talking about curling today in my history class. And everyone was like, "What the hell is curling...?" Isn't that more of a Canadian sport?

There is a curling game, I think it was in the last winter olmpics game that or the one 12 years back that that might be pushin it...It was like the only event I would play. You could only be countries but that was all good cause I doubt people would be able to name more than 3 curlers anyways...Anywho it would be cool but I think a CFL "madden like" game should be Canadas first big solo release...EA Im looking at you....

Not to sound mean or to be makeing fun of curling. There probly are not many games in the US because most of us do not understand the game that well. You might check ebay or something like that you might have better luck.

This is my point, we need to jump start this thing, joe! Everything thats been made have been mini games in Olympics games. That won't do. I'm talking about a full blown high budget game along the lines of Madden and Tiger Woods.

Its going to be a long hard fight, because curling is not as big a sport like hockey, football, and basketball, or even an Olympic sport like skiing, skateing and now snow bording. There is not a big market demand for curling. Thats why it is hard to find.

If you want to see more games you need to show the companies that there is enough interest in curling to market the sport, be it video games, equipment, etc. Now dont get me wrong, I am not trying to discourage you, I am just saying you got your work cut out for you. Go for it. I support your cause, even though I dont understand the sport, I support you. I am sure that you can get some support here for a start.

Well then I guess curling will stay as a minor sport like it is. In a few years it might not even be an Olympic sport anymore.

My friend, you are seriously misinformed about the curling world. Just because curling is not "popular" in the US does not mean it isn't huge in other countries. It must be played and a major sport in many countries for it to be an Olympic event.

In Canada, curling is bigger than both football and basketball. Making a statement like it is not as big a sport as skiing, skating and snowboarding in the Olympics is hugely your biased opinion and I totally disagree with you. I don't know where you are getting your info about market demand for curling, but to me, that seems largely made up.

I think a curling video game is plausible. I've seen bowling games and hunting games, curling cannot be far off. Nacht, go with your dream...

I cannot believe how incredibly naive you are...

If you ever decide to travel outside the little bubble you live in, you will see that curling is a lot more popular than you think. The sport has existed since the 1500's in Scotland.

Yeah those Olympic winter game compilations are weak.

I want EA or 2K(since they have no licenses anymore they got time and Sega's money) to make a real good curling game. A lot of the Tiger Woods play mechanics would transfer great into a curling game. Analog stick pull back and forward to determine weight and accuracy of the throw, "sweeping" back and forth with the analog sticks to accurately do the sweeping.

And you could get the real teams on the cheap.

That would be cool if EA did it Tiggidy Woods style with "Gamebreakers" were you could just hammer on the button and like just whip the "rock" down the ice for a take out and then when it hits the rock it goes all CSI style with cool angles and the rock blows up and stuff...granit everywhere hell this game writes itself...EA I'm looking at you.....

I was thinking the same thing over the weekend. Trying to figure out the point of it. But at least this topic gave me more info about it.
