What is your favorite RPG to get lost in and why? By lost, I don't mean stuck in the game, I mean what game sucked you into it's world the most? Games that make you forget about real life and make you feel like you live in that game. Now that I think about it, it doesn't HAVE to be an RPG I guess but an RPG would be the most likely case.

The Fallout games are fun to screw around in. You can wander around all day and do whatever. The Elder Scroll games are the same way obviously.

I dunno about the forget real life part, I'm not weird like that. But they're still fun.

Besaid Island from Final Fantasy X.

It's an island! Who wouldn't want to visit one?
There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.

Hell yeah, I'd love to be a Blitzball player

One game I get lost in is Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. Every time I play it,I find new things and there are lots of different ways to approach quests and people.

That and new "patches" with extra content are updated with a surprising amount of frequency

I can't wait for Skyrim either! but yeah I really get lost in Fallout 3 always imagining how crazy America was before the bombs fell and which would be worst prewar or after. Plus when I play Oblivion I sometimes just sit there and watch days go by(in game) because it can be very scenic...until something kills me.

Elder Scrolls is definitely the easiest to get lost in. It's beautiful to look at and the lore is awesome. It feels like a real world.

Hah, this is a good topic.

Mine's definitely Mother. Huge ass overworld, all connected together. Even modern RPGs never feel as big as that one.

If you mean games where you just like to wonder around in, not really trying to make progress, I'd definitely say Pokemon Leaf Green. I loved visiting the unique towns. Every now and then I power up the ol' Advance and visit my secret fort on Route 22. I usually plant some berries and walk around the fort for a few moments.

Even though I didn't have any heart playing it, but I still played it.

as an RPG, I remember really enjoying FAXANADU from NES. I personally felt I could relate with the character and his struggles and just wondering through different areas found in the game. Granted it was a 2-d side scrolling adventure, but I felt for the graphics of the time, it was able to create an atmosphere where one screen was drastically different from the next.

But if you're talk'n about a world... well... to do nothing in, World of Warcraft takes the cake on that one.
