They should have just made the controllers be like the wii classic controllers and thats it. no gimmicks.

Hard to say whether I like it. They haven't showed any real games for it. I think they should have waited before showing it until they had software. Leaves a lot of questions.

I like it. The potential is big, third party support is big. I have faith in this one.

If they were to re-release the NES, then I would be all over that but I'm not interested in the Wii's anymore.

Third party support will be there early, the problem is many of those games will also be on PS3 or 360 several months before they'll be on Wii U and even in the cases of games that may release at the same time, what reason is there going to be to get the Wii U and a version of say Ninja Gaiden 3 when you can get it for PS3 or 360 and not have to pay the entry fee of a new console? That's the challenge Nintendo is going to face. It's great that third parties are going to be there out of the gate but if these games don't sell, and considering they're multiplatform there's a good chance they wont, the support will dry up quick like what happened with Dreamcast. I think Nintendo needed to establish some big third party exclusives to really generate excitement. I know how a lot of people feel about GTA, but again, something like GTA V, even if it's just timed excluisve, would've been huge.

Interesting, but not exactly what they need i think. This is like a giant DS with better graphics kinda.

I won't be sure for awhile. Watching that video blueluigi posted, those controllers look expensive. Maybe you need just one, but what if you need to replace it?

The tech is cool and all but I won't be dropping any money on this.

Okay fine I'll admit it. It looks pretty cool, but then sort of odd.

Well, one of the downsides to the system is that it's no longer going to have backwards compatibility with the Gamecube.

That is the deal breaker for me, I'd play GameCube more than Wii U and Wii games. GameCube was Nintendo's last good console.

This is still a long ways off retail, but right now I'm not too sold on it.

Or a Wii. Why's everything have to be backwards compatible when people still own the old systems?

Actually, the Wii isn't as bad. Think something more in the lines of such Wii classics as Wii Sports, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Twilight Princess.

In case the owner doesn't own the original I guess...

If thats the case, they're probably not going to have a stack of gamecube games.

Is this evolution? I guess that the next Nintendo console will do cooking, cleaning and maybe play the game for you so won't get tired.
