During the 1980's and the 1990's, which company do You think reigned supreme in the video game world? Capcom or Konami? before You decide, take a look at some of both companies best franchises during the two decades.

Capcom: Mega Man, Street Fighter, Resident Evil.

    Konami: Contra, Castlevania, Silent Hill.

For me, it's a tough decision because back then both companies were awesome (I think Konami has kinda fizzled out a little bit in the past decade though)

Konami has gone down the drain, the slow death of arcades hit them pretty hard in late 90s. Yugi-oh is what kept them at bay from several hostile takeovers, but in the end it's pretty clear that their glory days are well behind them. Then again,I suspect soon the same will be said of most -if not all- Japanese publishers.

I'm taking Capcom, though Konami had some decent gems, I can't argue. :P

Although Castlevania has withstood the test of time; Capcom gets my vote. I love too many Capcom games.

It's hard to decide because both companies made some great games. I'll say Konami.
