I remember I used to read the books in a dark dark room a lot, as well as jeremy thatcher dragon hatcher a lot.

Goblins in the Castle by Bruce Coville
The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede (would make a great movie)
        Goosebumps (no author needed)
The Friday the 13th book series (I can't find much info, but mainly by Eric Morse)

Hey this is my 666th post should I stop here?

I dunno. Didn't really read that much as a kid
but I guess I liked the old Arthur books like
Arthur's Nose and Arthur's April Fools.

Also, the Amelia Bedilia books like the one
where she talks about all her relatives.

American girls series and the Baby-Sitters club books. Those were my favorite.

I remember when I was about 7 or 8 my big brother gave me this:

It was a camping guide with wonderful Disney comics illustrations. And I'm suprised how detailed and well crafted it was. The first time I went camping all the instructions in the book about setting a bonfire, etc worked perfectly.
