I liked Shel silverstein's books a light in the attic and where the sidewalk ends. I of course liked goosebumps and had quite a few of those. There's alot of awesome books I used to love but I can't think any for the life of me. I'll try to remember those.

oh jeez i just noticed this post. i love that book but they don't print it anymore, i've been looking for a copy for forever

Holy crap, apparently if you want a new one super bad you can get it for 289.00 on Amazon. That's craaazy. It says they have 7 used for 24 bucks.

I can't remember if i've read the book but for some reason I remember seeing the monster in the top hat eating soup or something either in a picture or a cartoon..

haha, nevermind, found my answer right on this site, with this article:

I recall going to the Book Fair at my elementary school and reading all the Mercer Mayer, Tomie dePaola, and Marc Brown books.
I had all the Goosebumps and Boxcar Children books.

My favorite book was The Wump World by Bill Peet. It was published a year before Dr. Seuss wrote The Lorax and dealt with pollution and over-consumption.

I also liked Herschel and the Hannukah Goblins. I found it in December while I was looking through a box of my old things.

When I was a kid most of the books I read were about military stuff like planes, guns, and tanks. I was heavily in my GI Joe phase back then. I also really liked those Peanuts encyclopedia books.

I never read many chapter books as a kid (I could never push myself to do so). Here are a couple I did manage to read in Elementary School though along with other books.

                                  Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing
                                  The Hundred and One Dalmatians
                                  Arthur books

Someone tell me I'm not the only one who loved Sideways Stories from Wayside School!

I loved reading everything I could as a kid. Where the Wild Things Are was a favorite as well as many sports biography books. Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, any sports star you could think of, I had to know everything about.
