Mortal Kombat is apparently $39.99 this week (5/2 - 5/8) at Toys R Us. In addition, you can use a coupon out of their in-store gamer coupon book to get an additional $10 off of the game. Just thought I would pass this along.

Good price(s) for a video game.
There is a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is evil and the other one is good. Which wolf will win? The one you feed the most.

That's a steal, I think the game was more than worth the $64.19 I paid for it, $29.99 is a hell of a deal, especially if you like old school MK.

I'm pleasantly surprised at the story mode for this game. It's actually pretty deep for a fighting game.

Hey MK fans....is the game worth getting?

I've played the demo and it seems interesting. I'm a old school type MK player. Any thoughts?

If you like MK 1-3 then yes this game is more than worth a buy. It plays just like those old school MK's. I have the PS3 version so I haven't got to play much online but local multiplayer with friends is fun, there is a shitload of single player content and like Derk said the story is surprisingly good for a fighting game. It's basically a re-telling of the story with a heavy focus, not surprisingly, on the first three games and plays out similar to the first live-action MK movie.

If you're into old school MK, you'll probably enjoy it. In my opinion, it's much better than the previous few MK releases. There's a lot in the game to keep you entertained and busy, so it's not like you just go through arcade mode and you're done. For this price, it's 100% worth it. I'm not sure I'd want to pay full-price for it, but again, it's a great game for $30.

To me, it's MK2>MK1>MK3>MK 2011. It's a good game and the best once since MK3 but I really don't think it's worth the amount I paid. 60 bucks is way too much for a fighting game. I beat the story mode the week it came out and haven't played since. It's still a great game though. Good party game for when your friends come over.

I'm surprised they had a tournament at a Wal-Mart for that game considering how they used to be. I worked in their electronics department and cell phone section off and on for 6 years and in the actual store for close to 10 years. When we we would have a new movie release they would throw a bitch fit if we would put a PG-13 movie on the display TV's. How lame is that.

I know. It's a Christian like store so they try to only put up G rated movies. They edit some of the music there and it really sucks. I'm not suprised if they edit some of the movies there too. Idk I'm not a big fan of Wal-mart since everyone there is so hypocritical and they don't like people like me that acutally ask questions of where is what. I get this look of " I don't want to help you; I want to stay in this one spot."

Yeah a lot of the guys I worked with were lazy as hell. At the time I worked there the furniture department was right next to mine and they would always try to steer away from the customers so they couldn't do a carry out. Or better yet there was this one guy who would just stand at the register under a fan sweating like he was working his ass off and all this ass would do was swing the keys to the game case around and only walk off when a customer would come to check out. But its not just Wal-Mart tho yet the reason I left was because of the general lack of management and lack of support throughout the entire store.

Wal-Mart was doing this? No fair! When? I want a copy of that game, especially if it is like the first three MK games. The best ones, imo. My fav will always be MK2.

Aww, something I miss from Japan. Good customer service. That would be unheard of over there, because the workers would know how bad it'd make the company look. They take the, "representing the employer as best as possible" to a whole new level over there.
