Gosh, I used to always play Monopoly Junior, Chutes & Ladders, and Candy Land with my parents all the time. My most favorite board game was Splat. Does anyone else remember that game? I'm the only person I know of who does, besides my parents. Basically, you had these bugs that were made out of play-doh, and the object of the game was to be the first one to make it to the cookies at the end. After I got that game for Christmas, we played it constantly! I spent many long hours playing Sorry every time I would get together with my grandparents. When I was 10, my friends and I loved to play Freeze Tag. What are some board games, and other games you playedwhen you were younger, besides video games?

Remember my friends, in this thread, you can list other games you played that aren't board games. Like I mentioned my friends and I really loved to play Freeze Tag. You just can't list any video games. I know board games are going the way of the dinosaurs. People really don't normally play them anymore. But I would LOVE to play Splat just one more time for old time's sake!

I liked Outburst too and I used to have a music edition called Songburst which was similar to the game show Don't Forget the Lyrics.
I used to play Pop O Matic Trouble with my cousins, Scrabble with my grandma on my mother's side and my family used to play Sorry, The Game of Life and Hotels on Sunday nights.
Hotels was a great game, it was like Monopoly but the hotels looked like real buildings and it was faster to play.

^ Haha shit I remember that one. used to play it in summer camps back in early-mid 80's though the tower was all messed up and the number didn't appear clearly. A bunch of wild kids/teens all over so you can imagine...

I still love playing board games, as a child some of my favourites were: Scatergories, Monopoly, Scrabble, Operation, Girl Talk Truth Or Dare, The Simpsons game, Trivial Pursuit Family Edition, Snakes and Ladders (the first board game I ever played) and building Mousetrap.

They need to make a faster moving version of Monopoly. It's a great game, but I think a lot of people are afraid of the time commitment of the game. I've had games last 3+ hours.
