IGN just got some new info on it. Apparently, it's going to be called Nintendo Stream and cost around 350-400$. They say it could be out any time between this October and early 2012. The design of it is like a modernized version of the super nintendo. the controller has an lcd screen on it. Motion will not be a huge part of it. it will not be aimed at old people and kids.

I already posted a link about it in my last post where Miyamoto stated not to believe everything you read about it.

Your assessment, while I disagree, isn't necessarily wrong. Finding something worthy of playing seems much easier on the 360/PS3 then the Wii. At times it feels like finding a needle in a haystack. Becoming a dust collector seems fairly common with this console. I'm glad I decided to give the Wii another chance by picking up a second console last year. The one year gap between my first and second Wii consoles afforded me the opportunity to play some wonderful games such as MP Trilogy, Punch-Out, Goldeneye, SMB All-Stars, etc.., Unfortunately, the gap between top quality releases seems quite large.

Well, the original Xbox was the most powerful system of that generation, then the PS2, then the GameCube. And the Wii was not much more powerful than the gamecube, all they REALLY did was add motion, heightened the resolution, and made shitty gimmick games. I've also been hearing that when this comes out, it will be the only next gen console for a gaming generation. Sony and Microsoft made Slim versions of their consoles INSTEAD of making consoles for next gen. So by the time PS4 and Xbox 3 come out, it will be two gaming generations from now and Nintendo will be behind. And knowng Sony, they'll still be making PS2 and PS3 games 5 years into the PS4's life...

Oldschoolgamer83 3 years 7 months ago Posts: 1360	I'm hoping Nintendo actually does make it 'significantly more powerful' than the PS3 and Xbox 360. And if at worst the new system compared to the next Xbox and PS4 could be like PS2 compared to Gamecube and Xbox power wise, they have a chance to be ok on the third party front. If I could get good versions of stuff like Assassin's Creed, whatever Bioware's next big RPG series will be after Mass Effect, GTA, Saints Row, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Ninja Gaiden, Elder Scrolls on a Nintendo console along with all the great Nintendo first party stuff, that'd be ideal. After the recent PSN disaster I'm pretty much done with the PS brand after this gen and though I'll consider getting the next Xbox at some point I'd like to be able to hold off on it for a year or two after it launches to see if it has the same hardware issues that the 360 did.
