mysticwryter 3 years 7 months ago Posts: 845	I don't know why but I can't get over this movie. Brad and Janet, two young kids that recently got engaged in Denton, Ohio stumble upon a castle on a stormy night. They enter the world of Dr. Frank N Furter, a transvestite that is throwing a party after the discovery of his ability to make a "lover". With the introduction of Rocky, Brad and Janet soon become "prisoners" to Dr. Frank N Furter and has his/her way with them. As the Doc plays with the new straight-laced lovers, Magenta and Riff-raff, brother and sister aka lovers, plan to overthrow the doctor so that everyone can return to the galaxy known as Transsexual. Columbia seeks revenge at the doctor, former lover, for killing her boyfriend Eddie with an axe. Other characters come into the mix as Eddie (played by Meatloaf), Dr. Everett Scott, who tries to search for Brad and Janet as he has become worried that the couple has not returned. Soon, the doctor decides to put on a show that which he believes will grab anyone's attention. With taking both the young couple, dr. scott, columbia and rocky upon stage, he reveals himself to the world as he conviences to "give youself over to absolute pleasure." Soon, Columbia and Riff-raff appear, letting the doctor that his mission was a failure and to come back to Transylvania under a new commander, Riff-Raff. The doctor refuses and tries to escape. While climbing the radio tower on stage, he is shot with a laser, and falls to the stage. Rocky then takes the doctors body and tries to escape as well (kinda like King Kong climbing the Empire State Builidng) and falls into the pool and dies. The castle was actually a spaceship which lifts off earth, back to Transsexual. Brad, Janet and Dr. Scott scuffle across the ground, finding one other. Filled with song, forbidden pleasures and all around fun, this flick began a cult with thousands of followers that still perform, partake and sing along with 37 years later! I love this movie!

RetroxBunny 3 years 7 months ago Posts: 1989	I watched this movie two years ago on Halloween night and I thought it was okay. I should re-watch the movie again sometime and see if my opinion changed (in a good way). Yay article!

It's like trying to watch a movie that everyone has seen and yet you can't get into it and that's ok. Yeah give it another shot; see if you really like it. Usually first impressions are never true so, who knows?
