Is it worth playing the old Pokemon games just for old-time's sake?

They're still fun to play, despite how old and outdated they are. Based on what I've seen in the new games when I've watched people play them, the first two seem to be easier. I've noticed the games have gotten a lot more complex over the years. Do you think it would be harder to play the Red Version, and Blue Version now, than when they first came out? A part of me says yes, because they're so old, and outdated that people don't really play them anymore. If you have one of the first two games, and the strategy guide, it shouldn't be too much trouble. I guess the hardest part would be finding someone who still has one of the two games. Do you think it's still worth playing the first two Pokemon games? If so, how hard do you think it would be to beat them?
