System 9 years 5 months ago Posts: 74809	I was trying to figure out how to put the text beside a picture using the align commands and the FAQ does explain how to do this, but not clearly. Bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla I've tried lots of different combinations of align commands to try to get that effect and instead every time, the text would start at the bottom right of the picture rather than the top right, as in the example. If/when my first article comes out (I submitted it yesterday), you'll see a lot of centered pics, but none with the effect listed above. Any help for future reference?

How big of a picture are you using?

You would use it like so

[align left][pic "Image Name"]your text here[/align]

What I get instead is the picture on the left, and then the text starting at the bottom right corner of the picture. And the second line of text is below the picture. In the faq, the text starts at the top right corner continues its next line next to the picture also until there isnt any picture left. Then it moves onto the next line below the picture... If I'm nitpicking then I'm sorry.

sacredscred 9 years 4 months ago Posts: 666	Ok, so I got an e-mail about the errors in my article... and I agreed with it...I did have a lot of spelling mistkaes..... but what the heck is: "recheck your html, such as colors and underlining then resubmit please." ? I'm not extremely net savy. Could someone help me please

Jason43 9 years 4 months ago Posts: 1553 Account Disabled	I dont remember reading yours, but you probably made some mistakes with trying to use colored font and when trying to underline a segment of the article. For example, if you made a mistake with the colors, instead of looking like this: red, it would end up looking something like this: [colorred]red[color]. Click on 'review' before you submit your article. This will allow you to see what the actual posted article would look like and you will be able to see any html mistakes you made. Also as a tip for any writer, cut and paste it to microsoft word to check any spelling mistakes.

Byrd man 9 years 4 months ago Posts: 369	Hey scred, I sent yours back, like Jason said you had half underlined and half not, and some text color problems, if you preview your article you'll see what I mean. Sorry I was unclear in that, not much room to explain stuff. Need any help just let me know.

sacredscred 9 years 4 months ago Posts: 666	I have corrected all of my spelling errors and as far as my HTML, I have been previewing it since the very beginning. I looked over it again and so did SYSFan and when I preview it, there is no HTML errors... it could be something in the system! I submitted it again and tell me if there are any more problems.

Jason43 9 years 4 months ago Posts: 1553 Account Disabled	It looks like there might be a bug somewhere. When I reviewed your article just now, half of it was underlined. When I went to edit it, you did actually have the html correct. I removed the html and it looks fine. Can you do without this in your article for now?
